Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

Default My election prediction

Total speculation of course:

Obama will win massive margins on Coastal states and bring out enough blacks in southern states to make them 'competitive', without managing to win any.
He will rack up a fairly substantive win as far as popular votes are concerned and solidify the democrats control of congress.

McCain will hold on to Florida, Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado while potentially picking up Pennsylvania.
McCain carries electoral college, winning a victory similar to Bush's last one, give or take a few states.

I'm going to LOL if this happens.

Pennsylvania has gone democratic in the past two elections, why would it swing now?

I think there's going to be a serious backlash against Palin when people start to realize how vacant and useless she really is. Obviously the white Christian "value voter" dumbasses will stand by her (and probably some of the more unstable Hillary fangirls) but not all Republicans are that stupid (just selfish and short-sighted). I don't know how McCain can continue to talk about bringing experience and know-how to the table and so on when he's carrying this bimbo.

The problem is that the Jesus voters were the edge Bush had to get elected twice.

I believe McCain will get eleceted, and ancient Jewish folklore will be what puts him over the edge.

Without it the United States would be a complete ochlocracy, it's actually very helpful.
