Children of Men
I just saw Children of Men. I have to say that there are very few movies I've seen that have touched me on such a raw emotional level. I highly recommend it.
From wikipedia:
Quote:

Set in the United Kingdom of 2027, the film explores a grim world in which two decades of global human infertility have left humanity with less than a century to survive. Societal collapse, terrorism, and environmental destruction accompany the impending extinction. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom—perhaps the last functioning government—persecutes a seemingly endless wave of illegal immigrant refugees seeking sanctuary. In the midst of this chaos, Theo Faron (Clive Owen) must find safe transit for Kee (Claire-Hope Ashitey), a pregnant African refugee.

Re: Children of Men
I fucking loved it. I saw it before it came out in the US and when it came out in the U.S. then I bought the DVD. It's one of my all time favorites.

Re: Children of Men
I think this was the film I was ever sold the quickest on upon watching it. I mean the first scene alone caught my attention which is rare. When he walks out of the coffee shop and it explodes 10 seconds later... omg. The movie to do this to me the second fastest would have to be the Dark Knight with the bank robbery scene.

Re: Children of Men
I loved this movie, my favorite scene by far was the shot that follows him throughout the street-fighting, through a bus load of refugees, and then out back in front of a hotel; It was just so fucking intense.

Re: Children of Men
Fucking Great Movie.
"The government is passing out suicide pills and marijuana is still illegal."
The only thing I didn't like was the ending because it was just to open for me.
Other than that I think it gave quite a realistic insight onto humanity.
THe best scene was him running to the Hotel after killing the "fascist Pig" with a Fucking Phone
Definatly on my top movies list next to Fight Club, The Godfather, V for Vendetta, 28 Days Later, Lord of the Rings Series.

Re: Children of Men
I thought it was one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen. It was just so fucking intense throughout the entire movie. Especially the scene, where they're driving in the car then a fiery car is pushed in front of them and then hundreds of people run at them from the forest. Oh and when they hit the motorcycle with the car door. Fuck yes. Also near the end where they're in that.. hotel? I think it is. And the military is attacking it. God damn that was a great movie.
