Food without CARBS!
Yeah, im gonna set off my weightloss with about a week of carbless food.
BUT, the problem is im not really sure about what im gonna eat., Alot of fruit ofcourse, for inbetween meals.
Im figuring breakfast can be carrot/banana or something. But lunch is a problem. I go to school quite a while away from my home, and it has a shitty cantine, that serves sandwishes etc. They also have hot food though, i might try and get a dish with some meat + veggies, and throw the rest away.
And for the evening, i dont really know. Sausages, eggs and minched meat is what i have come up with so far, but dont really know about the combination.
So Basicly, diffrent dishes involving no carbs, aka rice, bread, potatos, pasta etc.

Re: Food without CARBS!
uhh... listen, the atkins diet works - very well infact. i lost almost 40 pounds in a matter of 3 months.
but you have to fucking do it, for a long time, as in months, not a week, or you will explode. if you give your body no carbs for a while, then go back to giving it carbs, you'll puff up like a marshmallow in a fire.
don't even bother doing it for a week. commit to 2 months, at least, or don't do it at all.
and to answer your question, you have meat, cheese, and eggs. period. don't waste your time with vegetables at all. you don't do atkins diets to be healthy, you do it to lose weight. take in about 20 carbs a day, and use it on condiments to make the meat, cheese and eggs taste better. and don't eat anything without reading the nutrition facts; more things then you might think have lots of carbs in them. eating out at school or something? absolutely not. take some sausage with you in a plastic bag.

have you ever tried eating nothing but a carrot for breakfast? it's not going to keep you full enough, if you get any form of excersize.
just start eating better+ excersize more?

Re: Food without CARBS!
I couldn't live without carbs. There's just so many good foods that have carbs.
But I don't eat white bread or alot of refined sugars or junk like that. I also don't need to lose any weight.

Re: Food without CARBS!
First of all, fruit and Vegetables have carbs in them.
Secondly, cutting out carbs for a week won't make you lose weight. If anything, you'll gain weight. Atkins suggests that you should cut out carbs for around 12 months in order to lose a substantial amount of weight. You'll go through a week or so of cravings and then your body goes into ketosis, by which it starts to burn fat.
The only food groups you can really stick with are protein and fat. Basically you're replacing fruits, vegetables, pasta, rice, bread, (most) sauces, alcohol and sweets for meat, fish, cheese, nuts, milk, butter and eggs.

Re: Food without CARBS!
atkins isnt good for you, but if you want to lose weight, it would work after a long time
as said before, all plant based food has carbohydrate in it, so i would try not to eat too much fruit. its got sugar in it.
meat, fats, dairy and high fibre, low starc, high fibre vegetables

Re: Food without CARBS!
Motherfuckers, i dont even know what atkins is, i was merely asking for dishes with little to no carbs.

Dishes with these then i suppose. Sounds kinda expensive to live like that, atleast over here.

Re: Food without CARBS!
That goes without saying when (traditionally at least, since bread is pretty expensive these days) all the cheap sustenance and base food items are nothing but Carbs (and starches). Rice, Bread, Potatoes, Pasta, etc
P.S. IMHO Most people should be taking the ol' cliche'd out "nutritional complete balanced diet, 2 fruit & 5 veg, 3 litres of water, omega 3's, and at least an hour of moderate* excercise per day, etc" approach, rather than following a low/no calorie intake diet, which at the end of the day is quite bad for you.
*Moderate = don't start counting down until you've broken a sweat.
