I couldn't decide which forum to put this in because it has to do with service, drinking, and sometimes food, but the location is pretty specific. I know we have a lot of Totse bay areans so either move it or lock it as you see fit.

I've noticed myself getting stuck in a rut in the last couple years when I go up every couple weeks to visit the family in Oakland. There aren't that many good bars I've been exposed to so I kind of stick to the College avenue area. Barclays is a good pub is you want to eat and drink awesome beer (Crab and avocado sandwich is amazing), The graduate is pretty gay, Ye olde public house doesn't clean out their beer lines (also known as the hut), Ben n Nicks is rampantly turning scene as fuck especially when that fat ugly bartender is working and playing indie, and I'm getting kind of tired of spending every night at George and Walts. The benefit is that these are all within a 6 or 7 block radius of each other.
So please bay areans, will you recommend me good bars you know of, whether they be for food, drinks, pool, whatnot. I just need some new goddamn bars to go to.
