Harvest '08
So, I know it's early, but what are you guys expecting from your harvest this year?
And if you don't grow, how much do you think the prices are going to drop?
I'm predicting an ounce of 'dro' should be going for about $90-$130 by the end of October. Then again, that's straight from a major dealer and cutting out the middleman.

Re: Harvest '08
All you're going to get from BLTC for a question like that is bullshit.
People here don't know how to grow, and if they do, they aren't going to be pulling off anything. These kids are smokers, not growers.
I hope you aren't expecting an intelligent conversation.
Go to OverGrow and ask them.

Even if no one here can't grow, it should still spark an interesting conversation on how prices fluctuate depending where you are.
Thank you for the site though, I'm not a grower, but I know someone who would love to check that out.

You're obviously one of them, overgrow? That site got shut down a long time ago.
Supposely the fires in northern cali fucked over quite a few people's crops and the scare of prop B lowered some numbers. A couple big indoor and outdoor ops got raided but they do every year.
But the market is still going to get flooded horribly, there's still tons and tons of last years outdoor (almost average quality for the majority) being sold. It's disgusting the people who think they have to grow 100s of pounds, they fuck it up for everyone else with their bulshit weed.
Unless you're growing for personal or have many connects, growing outdoor only disapoints me. Every year it's a hectic race and if you grow super bomb that you put alot of time and effort into than get offered around 2 g's? =\. And you know as soon as that shit is dry and weighed you want to get rid of it quickly.
Otherwise I think indoor is a way better choice, it's more involved, day to day progress, several harvests a year, you got bud in the middle of the year when no one else does, quality is usually overall better then outdoor(there is bomb outdoor tho), it takes alot more skill and effort, not to mention if you know how to grow indoor right your prices can easily be around the 4 g's area.

Re: Harvest '08
another month and a good harvest is probably on the way. Probably just good discounted prices form dealers you know well.
I did just get lots of good cheap shit yesterday, and my friend said it was a fresh crop.

My dad had a couple plants growing 4 or 5 i think until some jackass mother fuckin kids came and ripped him off. shitty thing is that the way they did it made it look like they didnt even want the weed, they came buy and ripped the tops off and i guess took those and then pretty much shreeded the rest of the plant all over the backyard, they misses one plant though so hopfully that will bring in somthing decent.

Re: Harvest '08
A friend of mine is growing (no, seriously, this isn't a SWIM situation) at the moment. His harvest is around the 15th of October.
He's got this wicked stuff from Alaska (we live in the UK) - I can't remember what strain it was, but I know that you won't see it sold on the streets. I saw the plants today, in fact: they look very healthy indeed .
I can't fucking wait.
Still, because of my amazing weed finding skillz I always have bud. At the moment I'm puffing on some real nice and fruity high-grade bud. Take a tip from me, if you anticipate a dry spell, just go and pick up an oz.

You would be surprised by what lurks in BLTC, a few of us know a thing or two. Most of us, though, know that Overgrow has been long gone, though it remnants can be found if you look.
As for me, my plants are doing pretty well, one is a little skimpy but its buds are still looking very hairy and covered in crystals. Im thinking from the 3 that I have I should be looking to harvest around a Oz-Oz and a half, if the deer and police stay away that is.

Damn I miss that site, some of the smartest people on the internet were on there!
I don't find any kind of anual fluctuation in price over here more just a constant steady increace over the last few years especially in smaller towns. Growing season doesn't seem to effect price at all probably because its mostly grown all year round indoors or imported. At college however in such a small icolated environment we get huge fluctuations depending obviously on suply or demand and how much heat the security are putting on the dealers with busts and such. First day back this year and somone had already been caught with a load of plants, mushies, coke, few oz of dry skunk and pills and were out within a few hours... He must have been pretty stupid considering our rooms are cleaned weekly and everyone knows each other.
We do get the end of summer dry spells and such but that isn't so bad if you know enough people.
My harvest this year was absolute shit since we pretty much had no summer. I lost all but one plant to the constant wind and rain and I got at most a half oz from the one plant, because it was almost constantly cloudy it had a shit yeild and then I lost alsmost all the bud to rot when it rained non-stop for the last 2-3 weeks of flowering Still what I got lasted me a good few days and it was some of the nicest smoothest sticky bud iv had all summer compared. Very tasty au natural comapred to that dry over strengh skunk the vietmese are churning out of their "cannabis factorys."
Hopefully I should be getting an indoor grow on the go pretty soon, got all my old kit sorted and a close trusted friend to help out.
Looking to have a harvest by the new year although this will probably be some pretty rushed mid grade stuff its all good for personal and close friends. Wish I could hurry up and finish college so I can get my own place, geting a nice little grow op on the go has been one of my dreams since I was about 12!

Well, after the great sun of 08' (sun killed my plants, burned the shit out of them in a heat wave) I only have 2 surviving, well it was 3 but I cut down the male to collect pollen for one of my ladies. Buds are packing on daily, colas are getting to maximum size.
Great weed for me. I also got a bubblegum sativa clone sitting in swims closet.

Shoulda been watering more. The sun doesn't kill plants, lazy growers kill plants.

Get one of these/make something similar and every evening cover them up with plastic or burlap then take it off in the morning if it looks like its getting to cold at night. Sounds like you don't have many plants so it shouldn't be that much work and well worth it if it saves your crop.

Slightly ironic that they're actually made for tomatoes, not "tomatoes."

Your friend is an idiot, the reason the tomatoes arn't forming is because he kept the male and female plants together. The male plant fertilized the female plant and too much of the females energy went into producing seeds. Thus, fewer tomatoes
