ADD medication
There's a good chance im getting prescribed ADD meds on Monday. I was wondering if you can take them recreationally or if snorting will make it feel better.
Maybe its just the 90's when people took ritalin and got high.

Re: ADD medication
Hopefully you end up with Adderall, or better yet, Dexedrine (very unlikley on the first visit, tho).
Yes you can snort amphetamines. Recreational indeed.

Re: ADD medication
So... Adderall is an amphetamine? I've heard of people snorting them but wasn't sure what the effect was, i heard it makes you hyper but if its for ADD why would they perscribe it?
It's not my first visit btw i visited and before in the summer, got tested they said i was nearly off the charts and that i can come and get the medication if it was hard to pay attention in school.

ADD is a fucking joke. You people with ADD do not have ADD. You are just asshole kids with shitty parents who are too fucking lazy to beat the shit out of you when you fuck up.
If some prick doctor EVER tells me my kid has ADD that motherfucker will end up having me escorted out of the building.

I should have specified.. Adderall isn't meant to calm you down, it's meant to make people with ADD concentrate, not bounce off the walls. (I know, exaggeration)

Well, clo nidine is a medication used primarily for people with high blood pressure, though it has a lot of off-label uses, such as for sleep etc. due to it's sedative properties. I'm pretty sure it's classified as an anti-hypertensive. Won't do much to "get you high", in my opinion, and if your brother has Clonidine there's a possibility he seriously needs that shit for blood pressure in which case by all means don't fuck with it.
Risperidone is Risperdal, which is a fairly potent anti-psychotic tranquilizer used for the management of skitzophrenia, various degrees of psychosis, and occasionally, bipolar disorder. Some fuckwit quacks script it for anxiety, too, so it's possible he's got it for that. Not recreational at all; a very powerful drug, and not something to be fucked with by anyone aside from the person who seriously needs something of it's caliber; which probably 75% of the patients on drugs such as that don't, unfortunately.

If you're not trolling then let me tell you that add isn't a joke, its the most annoying fucking disorder ever though, just think of walking into class and every time the teacher talks you daze off or your reading a text book and then you get to the bottom of the page and realise that you can't remember anything about what you just read.
its annoying as fuck. it does exist but it is true that a lot of peoples kids dont do anything so they just assume their kid has add.
so ritalin, conserta, adderall what are the effects? (i DO have add so its not going to be the opposite)

I don't know if I actually have the shit or not. I just pop a couple whenever I really need to study or focus for something and sell the rest. I move up in mgs every time I go to the doctor for it. Which happens to be this morning. It's pretty tight.

For fucks sakes you just explained my time at school perfectly and I sure as fuck don't have ADD. ADD is bullshit. You know why kids daze off in class? Can't concentrate on our reading? Because we're fucking animals and we're NOT meant to be locked in a fucking classroom getting obedience training 6 hours a day 5 days a week for 13 fucking years. We should be out climbing trees, playing, hunting and having sex. ADD and the medication provided for it is just a way to improve kids performance, to take thousands and thousands of kids, and allow them to function in an environment where they don't belong, least of all at that age. Feeding kids meth to shape and direct them so that they might one day be productive little workers. Fucking brilliant.
That, and what stupid noob said.

Most people who have to ask about using adderall recreationaly are too fucking stupid to figure out their question might have already been answered 50,000 times, lets alone find a link to page 2 which creates an apparently endlessly vicious circle of retardation and tweeked out 13 year olds...Or maybe they just need some more meds.

I actually have a hard time paying attention to things around me some of the time. This includes school and even having small conversation with the people around me. I haven't taken ADD medications long-term to this date and I've been "diagnosed" with add, but I learn to live with it. Shitty parents or not, it might have something to do with genetics and not something you just grow up with. Not everyone is perfect SN, so I don't see why you think that ADD is complete BS. Please explain why you think ADD/ADHD is completely stupid and shouldn't even be brought up in the forums? Thanks!

Well, i'm sure he would agree that there is a disorder called ADD. Problem is that doctors diagnose any kid that fidgets in his/her seat and would rather pay less attention to their teacher and more attention to what else is going on. 95% of people diagnosed with it don't actually have it. It's just an easy way to deal with these little common problems parents are having with their kids. Far easier to throw pills and pointless labels at lazy, stupid or hyper kids than it is to sit down and put out some actual effort to fix the problem. A large amount of the kids should have been disciplined more often rather than medicated or tutored instead of sedated and ignored.
The reason THIS shouldn't have been brought up is because there are so many fucking threads just like this that it'd be simple (even for kidiots) to find the god damn search function or click the page-2 button. Put out a little effort to help yourself before getting angry at the results of your thread. I highly doubt you have ADD dude. Man the fuck up and actually attempt to learn. It's more/equally as likely you either aren't trying very hard and expect some medication to make things easy or you're just not that intelligent. I was also "diagnosed" with ADD and ADHD but I realized after a short time that the meds are bullshit and all it takes is some real effort.

Re: ADD medication
ADD is, actually, in fact you not giving a fuck. ADD is apathy, rebellion, laziness, and the lack of discipline and mental training. I bet you'd pay attention if someone was about to chop your dick off.
You can't remember what you read because you weren't reading. You were looking at a series of symbolically depicted ideas which didn't register in your skull past their acknowledgment. In essence, due to your predisposition (also known as zzzzzz syndrome,) you're emotionally interpreting the fact that you're reading. You're fucking sitting there, actively paying attention to the wrong things.
When's the last time you made a connection towards what you read? You dissociated, clueless motherfucker.
Of course, the fact that pharmaceutical companies, which pay the government openly, are providing you with drugs that government sanctioned doctors casually prescribe out of ignorance is fucking dandy.

I love you moonius. Excellent, fucking excellent reply.
You notice that as corporal punishment has left the schools, ADD has been on the rise? Yep, nothing like the threat of a wooden paddle with holes drilled in it to keep you the fuck in line.
You get hit with one of those motherfuckers and you figure out how to pay attention REAL fucking quick.
I got swats in like every grade up until 5th grade. It was always because of never doing my homework though. I payed attention, and aced tests, but thought homework was a fucking waste of time, and so the shit would pile up and pile up, next thing I know my ass is getting beat with that holey paddle. I caught that homework up real fucking quick.

Re: ADD medication
Yeah, I was diagnosed with ADD by some shitty old arab lady who did one test and concluded I had it. In fact, I had manic depression (bipolar), and I'm telling you...having any other illness and taking concerta is ate the fuck up. I was young and loved to speed and basically by pill force myself to concentrate insanely on anything around me...I went completely batshit insane....(this along with the fact that I was almost beaten to death in my sleep with a pipe etc etc...after that I wouldn't leave my house and all I would do is take 108+ mg of concerta daily, every day). I did lose about...well over 100 lbs, I was a fatty :p but at my worst point, taking concertas, not sleeping, not talking to anyone in the outside world whatsoever (having contact with not a single person ever), I remember one night I was running down the stairs and I saw my shadow and it nearly stopped my heart; I thought someone was in my fucking house. Don't ask me why I was even walking around a completely black house...they just push concertas on kids that in fact are lazy; that's really it. Then again, it works just like any other neurological disorder...you can't necessarily prove that anxiety even exists, although there are lots of people who beg to differ so arguing about it is pretty retarded.

Re: ADD medication
Haha yea, ADD in a way probably IS bullshit. They've given me concerta in the past, but all it did was give me a stomache ache. I stopped taking meds and just learned that it just takes a bit of willpower and a little training. Now, I've noticed I have a hard time paying attention when the subject i'm reading/thinking about doesn't interest me much, but at the same time it might be important to learn about it. Are there any tricks to help yourself feel more motivated?

dude how do you think i made 1000 in a week to afford moving states with no job? i bought 20mg XRs for 1$ from some kid who knew nothing about pricing, and sold them at SDSU for no lie, 15 per. some kids DID throw down 20 because everyone else was selling out. the only reason i never did was because my hookup had been stockpiling his pills (he had around 200 along with the 60 a month he was prescribed.)
if you get adderall, there is BIG money in it if you live in the right area. they love the shit. hell i used too but did it way too often. if you are a college student with medical insurance, start complaining about ADD symptoms. even if you dont get adderall you may get vyvanse, which are just as legit when it comes to taking final exams.
plus IR arent even as good as the XRs. around 4 hours compared to 12? not even close. but away from finals and college goers i sold them for 6-7. supply and demand my friend.

IR are a hell of a lot cheaper, insurance or not. They're also more convenient when you want/need the effects for only a few hours or are trying to get high off them.
If you like 'em for all day use then yeah, XR is obviously better. IR for me, though, is nicer because I can get better dosage control and have the option to take one at 5:00 pm and still sleep that night.

Yep. I'm not too big on them (or any uppers for that matter) but on the rare occasion that I do pop em I prefer IR as well.

yes definitely, i was just used to the all day buzz rather than the 4-5 hour boost. but yeah being up for days on end was no joke really. i had taken IRs after taking XRs for so long that they really just sucked in comparison
