so the tree sitters in UCB's oak grove came down today and immediately, I mean literally as one fluid motion, they came down and the oak they were in (recently made to stand alone in what was once a grove of about 40 trees) was stripped of left over tree sitting materials and cut down. People came just to cheer it on. The mercenary who had the honor of slicing up the living being into 4 parts raised his extra long chainsaw, whooped, and said his mother always said she knew what he was gonna be when he grew up. This shit is disgusting. They killed the native americans to clear the space, later put in more trees amongst the natural redwoods and oaks to memorialize a war, then killed the trees to complement it all. For football, btw. $140 mil athletics center, 40k a day on security to keep the peaceful protesters on lock down, and yet the facility HAD to be right there. On a fault line. The cops, who numbered enough to make a human barrier in front of the 3, sometimes 4 fences with barbed wire that surrounds the (former) grove, have thrown grandmothers and even a one armed man to the ground, cut off the sitters food supplies and arrested ppl who tried to send basic necessities up. Today they would swarm in front of anyone who started talking above a quiet whisper, cause they're spooks, they're just mercenaries.
But more on the green planet side, ya, they finished off the oak today, cut up it's flesh and rejoiced.

In memory of a real tree.

The state government in my area is going to tear down about 300+ mature gum trees around an area they spent a huge amount of money on ensuring was a 'green' space.

Now they're dropping 50mil on the site to turn it into a racing track for 3 days a year, effectively ruining the green aspects of the place and inviting people to come burn extra oil.
