Damn it! It's not as crazy as the Spore or Mass Effect DRM, but more like the Bioshock DRM. Why can't they make it the same way as C&C3? This is really lame. I don't understand how this boosts sales. More people are gonna pirate it just because they don't want to deal with DRM bullshit. And at if someone was planning to pirate it before, this just gives them all the more reason to.

Damn EA makes me mad... I already have the game preordered and I was hoping to play over LAN with my brother, but he might have to buy his own copy now.

I fucking hate DRM... its an inconvenience to us all. And its really pretty pointless.

What do you guys think?

i would still be buying it. yes 5 installs isnt much, but it wouldnt really affect me

just remember to be connected to the internet when you uninstall the game, which would give you your install back. and i think you can install as much as you want if youre playing offline only. so you can LAN with one copy. its slightly improved because you dont need a disc to play it now

Fucking EA screwing up everything. Guess i'll have to torrent RA3 as well.

I mean ffs. Yeah, five installs is probably enough for the life of one or two systems, but i've probably installed RA 1 and Tiberian Sun tens of times on systems over the years, for a bit of nostalgic skirmishes. Or just when i've had or wanted to format the drive or I bought a new one.
And i'm not fucking sitting through customer support just so I can play the game I legally bought.

I pirate all PC games. It's just too easy. I used to buy about 10 to 15 games a month back in the 90s. Then PC games became less good, more expensive and overly retarded.

It's funny, I was just working on my cracktros, demos and intros collection today. Those guys don't get a percent of the respect they deserve.

I'm buying an eye patch tomorrow in honor of them all.

(Isn't it ironically amusing that a thread about EA implementing DRM on a new game to fight piracy rasies talk of pirating the game heh?).
