About a month or so ago i tripped on a couple of hits, tripped several times this year so far along with a few back in 07. a couple weeks after i went camping with my dad. no drugs at all were taken this weekend other than the occasional cigarette. Everything was pretty normal until it got dark, we lit the lantern and very suddenly i was seeing trails very much like what i get on acid. didnt pay much attention to it, i thought it might just be the very bright single source of light nearby and was just fucking with my eyes...

Eventually i would go to sleep and wake up with no trails at all, and it would happen every night just like that for the weekend. When i came home i had none of the visuals that had taken place at the campground.

So last friday i went camping in that same campground, same thing happend..... When i went for a walk i went uncer a normal street lamp style light i still had the visuals. I'm starting to think its not the light, it never made me see tracers before and we have had this lantern since i was like 8...

Sounds a lot like the HPPD symptoms I had in the fall. I did way too many psychedelics last summer and paid for it from Sept. until around Christmas.

When you get stoned does it seem to be more prominent?

i thought HPPD lasted a lifetime once you got it? or am i wrong?

probably about 3 towards the end of 07... this year ive tripped probably 8 or 9 times...

they were still very much there, maybe a little more but stoned or sober they were there.

but now that im back home and more stoned than i have been in a while my vision is fine, or at least nothing abnormal...

Depends. People who used to do thumbprints [lick thumb, dipping it in crystal LSD (which is several thousand mcg at least, then licking it again] will usually be struck with permanent HPPD, along with a bunch of other arguably negative side effects.

Mine, however, was very intense for only a couple months. I still have a minor case of it but it usually only comes out when I smoke a lot of weed. Fall was pretty ridiculous though. Between March and early September I had done 200+ hits of acid, several grams of MDMA, several grams of ketamine, n,n-dmt several times, 2c-i, 2c-e, 2c-b, DOB a couple times each, PCP twice, some shrooms, and mescaline.

Definitely learned my lesson as far as that goes. And a lot of other things too :)

on topic, IVLSD fucked my world up. I was up for several days before hand, and then injected a half hit of some potent ass blotter and was out of my fucking head seeing shadow rats and shit and shit hasn't been right since, but i don't mind it.

And I didn't take more than one tab every day. I took upwards of 5 every time I tripped. Actually, closer to 10. Plus I frequently mixed other psychedelics with acid. I didn't trip every day.

I stopped tripping in September, and it continued until Christmas like I said. Definitely a hardcore case of HPPD. It's pretty much non-existent now, and I haven't tripped since January.

I remeber a few years back when it was easier to obtain RC's, I would do 4-HO-DIPT and 2C-E multiple times a week... needless to say I ended up with a pretty bad case of HPPD and at first It was a little scary, cause I thought I was perminatly fucked up from expirimental chemicals- which isn't a good thought at all. But once you get past all the irrational fears its actually kind of cool.

Fast forward a few years and here I am, after a summer of consuming a sheet of acid and countless grams of shrooms... I feel the HPPD pretty strong again, but it's actually really cool now because I've learned not to fear it.

I'd hate to get HPPD while driving. Seems like it would be quite shit.

I've never done enough acid for that, though just once in my life I feel like IVing LSD and watching The Wall or something.

its strange, its only occured while camping in that place... if i end up camping in some other place and i dont get it, it might bring up some questions... in that case it will seem to me that camping there acts as a sort of trigger...
