I first did heroin over a year ago. I've done around a bag every month, sometimes more often but still a couple of times a month isn't very much.

The only time I ever did a lot was when I got my appendix removed, they only gave me 2 mg of morphine every two hours so I ended up blowing a bunch of d and xanax while in my hospital bed. They didn't give me any painkillers to take home so I did around a bundle for the week of recovery.

It's possible to do heroin and not get addicted but it doesn't matter how long you do it for eventually for whatever reason you might slip up. Don't fuck around with heroin.

If you are unsure if you can control yourself then Heroin is probably not the drug for you. Yes it is possible to take it and then walk away, but obviously it will need will power.

I have shot heroin a few times and have not had much desire to do it since... I havn't even used my whole bag yet- and I still don't have that much of a desire to do it again. Maybe someday... but I can wait.

I think its definatly possible to use it occasionally, especially when you realise that there are way better drugs out there... like LSD. Sure heroin feels awesome, but it doesn't have much substance to it besides just feeling really good. I'd much rather do psychedelics, or even just smoke some weed...

I have conquered every other class of drug EASILY. I can do speed every day for a long time then quit no problem. Same goes for every other drug. Except opiates. Maybe thats my Achilles heel, but I kinda doubt it. Theres just something about opiates that separates them from other drugs. They consume your mind, so all you can think about is the high, and how good it feels, and how badly you want to experience it right now. Then you do, and then its gone, and then you need more. Stay away.

I do H once in a while and I'm not addicted. Well...depends what once in a while is. For me I'll sometimes go through like 4 bags in 3 days and other times I won't do it for a while.

I've snorted dope since end of spring/beginning of summer. It mainly depends if my buddy's junkie sister-in-law needs a ride for dope. I do it once and a while and she throws for gas and a few free bags. Since the beginning the most I've been off is maybe 3 weeks so every 2 weeks or so there's a day or two more or less that I am getting high.

I figure that's occasional enough. Can't say I don't think about it a lot more than if I wouldn't have tried it, but all the bad shit that comes with getting addicted (that I have experienced before on other drugs) cancels out the potential addiction level that comes with.

its a drug like any other, but one lots of people seem to get hooked on. when I was younger I had an OC addiction so I usually avoid H, but that isn't to say if someone just dropped a couple points in my lap I wouldn't snort it.

an old friend had a list of drug rules that seems to work well, I will share.

never do strong opiates more than 2 days in a week or 4 days in a month.

never do coke more than 2 days in a week or 4 days in a month.

no more than 1 or 2 good meth binges a year.

only shoot each drug once (not at all is safer)

always test an e pill

be careful with benzos, they can be sneaky.

research everything.

respect yourself and your drugs.

psychedelics are your friend, and you shouldnt worry about addiction, but at least check in with reality from time to time.

MDMA is for special occasions.

if you find somthing rare, and you trust the source; don't be afraid to try it.

devote a couple weeks to complete detox every couple months.

don't be an idiot

It's not so much how many times a day you do it as it is how many days in a row you do it, and how many days you go without doing it in a row.

If you can go two days without using anything without a problem, you are/will be fine. You could go the rest of your life like that and not get addicted.

The thing is being able to maintain going at least two days without. I mean, I was a user [smoking or snorting only, never a needle] for aver 15 years and so I knew more than a lot of people who used. And of all of them I only met one - maybe two - people who were able to go long term as a casual user. Everyone else - everyone of them - became addicted for several years at least. Most still are AFAIK.

When I was still doing a lot of different shit, yes, I was able to use heroin sparingly and not become addicted to it. Seriously.

However, using it 2+ times a day as you said in your post certainly isn't sparingly. I'm talking that about once or twice a month I would cop 2-3 bags, depending on the quality, and smoke/snort them in one night-- and that was it.

Don't ask me why but I've never got the "fiending" feeling from doing opiates before. Then again, I've never really gotten that from many drugs, at all, come to think of it...

Keep in mind also I didn't have a steady connect to it. I mean, I did, it was always the same guy, but it was usually somewhat of a pain in my ass to actually hook up with him and even then it'd only happen about once or twice a month like I said. If it was someone like three doors down from me I'm sure it could've gotten ugly so take that into consideration in working out your equation here.

I usually snort/smoke.

Once by itself in a rig, and the other time with coke. (speedball) only time I ever shot coke too actually.

It's without question the ULTIMATE high for opes.

As said, It's very easy to become addicted if you have little to no willpower.

Although, I do knew a few people who snort the shit only 1 or 2 times a month.

I do it too much, enough to get sick if I'm without for to long...I have been sober from it multiple times for extended periods of time even. But like with meth, H always pulls me in when it's easily obtainable/cheap/high quality.

Once a week is too often, once a month is risking it, and once a year is probably safe.

I visited a friend in Detroit a few months ago and did dope all day everyday (snorting very high quality brown powder).
If I had stayed I would have developed quite a habit, as my friend has.

Personally, it is opiates in general that pose the problem. Heroin happens to be the king of commonly available street opiates, so of course people prefer it, but opiates in general are, I think, the most addictive class of drugs.

The argument could be made that benzo class drugs are more addictive because they affect your brain in a way that is basic to survival.

However, serious opiate habits develop over a period of years rather than days or months. It causes long-term potentiation and structural changes in the CNS, ultimately putting the opiate drive on par with the sex and food drives that are basic to survival.

Two times a day is too much, and over time it will actually be not enough.

The only way to avoid the worst aspects of addiction is to have a lifetime supply of gear, which would cost a truly exorbitant sum and brings heavy criminal penalties.

If you intended to do dope, it may be best to save up and score a kilogram or more before actually starting, and then ration doses so as not to run out before one can afford another kilo :) :) :)

alright, thanks for all the responses guys. the phone number is deleted so i can't call him again. opiates arnt my favorite drugs but i can't take the risk of doing it any more, im just too weak mentally and have an addictive personality, so this was just intended as a one time deal. i'm feeling less paranoid now (probibally the diesel) so i'll describe my experience with it briefly incase anyone is interested.

as expected its very similar to other opiates, but its nicer. doesn't give me headaches, nausea isn't as bad as i thought it would be, doesn't make me as cranky as others tend to, and i enjoy music on it instead of silence. it makes me feel very warm and muscles are extremely relaxed almost like a benzo. iv been very depressed for quite some time, but on this stuff i don't feel depressed, just content and don't give a fuck. i also think about this stuff sometimes when im not on any, and desire to be on it but can deside not to (hav been doing it twice a day now for a few days without break tho, but i'm sure when i run out it won't be hard to resist buying it again). dont really know what else to say, it's very nice, and i'm sure shooting it would be fucking great, but thats just something i really don't plan on doing EVER in my life. at this moment diesel is actually easier for me to aquire than weed or other stuff because my connections are limited and all of em are too lazy to sell, plus classes ended so it's fucked up. all in all, i'd say it lived up to my expectations

I do, I shoot in fact and have never been addicted. I may have had very very minor withdrawals when I did it a lot (every day for a few weeks), but nah I really only do H once a week AT THE MOST. And I have it almost always too...right now I've got a nice supply of china white (about 3 grams), and I don't plan on doing any for a bit. Got me a bag of diabetic syringes(clean of course) and some H. Drugs are to be enjoyed not abused; that's what I've always lived by.

You seem misguided by your post; using the needle isn't going to get you hooked any quicker than snorting in. In fact, to be 100% honest I get just as fucked up snorting it as I do shooting...only difference is when you shoot you wait about 4 seconds and are blown out of your mind...snorting it takes you maybe 15 minutes to start coming up.

I have never tried heroin nor do i have much knowledge of it, but i was under the impression from what i "learned" in school that trying it once brought on horrible withdrawal symptoms that could only be avoided by doing more heroin, and thats what got people addicted. Now after reading this thread i'm guessing thats complete bullshit?

Very bad idea. You've got the shit...you don't necessarily need to get high as soon as you get some weed. How long ago did you do the dope? And yeah, you need to haev self control; you feel good now. That should be good enough. It's the mindset of 'I'd like to get some more...that turns not addicted people into junkies. In fact, even doing it once a week your tolerance will get high quick. In a few weeks at one dose a week you'll find yourself needing more to get high. That's a bad place to be.

Don't fuck with heroin. Everyone else says it and that is exactly what they said to me a couple years ago when I asked this very same question. I figured that they were all wrong, and that I would be fine. They ended up being wrong for me, but not for my 6 friends who all either od'd, crashed their car, got caught by the cops, or lost their job.

I myself have done H many times and never got addicted. I stopped about a year ago when the shit with my friends all got really bad. You will see the dark side of drugs when you do heroin, and it is very probable you will not turn out as well as I did. All in all I don't want to sound like some douchey guy warning you of the dangers of drugs, it's your life, do what you want, but realize there is some really good advice in this thread. That advice is stay the FUCK away from that shit.

That's all very true for LOTS and LOTS of people. All the people I associate with, and go get the H for me (I don't fuck with the dealers; they're shady and my friends seem to know where the good shit is) are all hardcore dependent on it, and when they don't have it they literally get sick; they vomit, they shake. It's really fucking bad. The trick is, before you ever touch the stuff, know that there is a huge potential to get hooked, very easily. As I have said, even doing it once a week your tolerance can build up to the point where you need more to get high. That's doing it 1 time a week. You NEED to know that you can get hooked, and you HAVE to have self control and not allow yourself to do it often at all. I enjoy H on a weekly but usually monthly basis...where I stand is here: I need to be able to nod my fucking ass off hard on .1 grams of dope. If I can't do that, I'm doing it too much. You just need to be really informed before you touch it, or you're doomed in a big way. And heroin detox is the furthest thing from fun you'll ever go through in your life...it's sheer hell and that's an understatement.
