I want to give up modding OI. Mainly because of constant connection problems with totse. I have to use several different proxies a day and its slooooooow. I want to concentrate the time on S&A.

Also I'm a bit disinterested in food/cooking at the moment. Nothing to do with this forum , simply I go through 'phases' of interest and disinterest.

Anyways I just spoke to Zok and he is happy for the forum to elect a new mod itsself. We have several excellent posters here and I'd hate to have to choose between them. So please nominate who you'd like to reign over yous from now on.

2.It doesn't matter if someone gets 99% of the 'vote', zok may still decide he wants someone different. The mods and admins have the final say.


My Thoughts:

I'd like the new mod to be Sambob but that ain't going to happen

so I'd like the new mod to be 1. not already a mod and 2.in a different time zone to AE5150. Female might be nice too, since yoyo left we've been missing some pink fluffiness. A professional chef would be good too. But above all a regular daily contributor.

That'd put me in the Mountain time zone in the United States, for the sake of evaluation.

Two other things for you guys to consider...

First is that registration is open now, so we've been dealing with some extra idiocy from the OMG!~! N3\/\/B$!!!!!!11ELEVENshift. We're a low traffic forum, so it's not a huge problem, but if you don't have patience or at least perspective enough to realize it's just a message board, you might not want to be a mod.

Second, remember that having a huge set of culinary skills isn't necessary to be an effective mod. Diversity is what makes this forum so enjoyable. There are all levels of experience and all levels of feedback, which is far more conducive to good conversation and discussion.

I also wish sambob would be jack's replacement, but if that's not the case, then so be it.

If sambob didn't have such a high opinion of everything, then maybe I'd vote for him. It's just his attitude (I'm an expert about cooking, martial arts, etc) is very tiresome.

I'd say DerDrache. I think he's on the track to becoming a mod in one of the forums. Helpful, good knowledge and is on Totse a fair amount.

I was going to say DerDrache too, I haven't seen him around as much as I used to though.

Second nomination would be Toothlessjoe he's always around and has some good ideas.

Hmm, quite sad really. Maybe I've missed something. He doesn't seem too bad to me. In that case I'd have to say Bckpckr, smokemon or umm, I can't really think of any others. Those two are the only posters that fit the bill from skimming over the last few pages. I still think DerDrache is a good poster though.
