Default Paranoia and Keeping the Controversial Hidden

When going through a move, it is important "atleast to me" to take alot of factors into consideration in terms of location and the community. I prefer somewhere out away from the city outskirts for privacy reasons, though the seclusion is also something of paranoia. The enviroment in which I will be living is a new place to me almost altogether. I know no only one person who lives in the area, and other than visiting the place on a few occasions, have little knowledge of the schematics.

To the point: Everyone has somethign to hide, and I am no different. To keep a comfortable state of mind and about my possessions, what are some good ideas to stash belongings. Now this seems to be something varied upon the specific location, area, and common sense, but I'm looking for originallity or for ideas that go that extra step for ensured security. Paranoia is the best friend of anyone with something they dont want to disclose. examples. is under floor boards, hidden compartments within drawers, hollowed out compartments within walls, security cameras.. still reasonable and safe ways to protect your home?

May belong in a different forum, but I have BLTC specifically in mind as there may be some here, who can relate..

Edit: The stuff in which I'm wanting to stash isn't neccesarily big as it is valuable.. otheer than the safe, that I am considering original means of hiding. Keep in mind easy access isnt a concern for me.

Edit #2: Hypothetically, the items I will be stashing will have a considerable smell and be in a decent quanity (lbs). Also alot of pharms., that I dont feel comfortable with in a sock drawer. A decent amount of cash will also be stored as I do not trust banks and prefer to have cash on hand. I have both the time and resources to put alot of time and creativity (as long as it's practical) into this project with prospect of making the time to come much more comfortable.

I don't know what you are trying to stash so this is hard...

If it smells (weed) I used to put mine in the bag it comes in, wrap that in tin foil, put it in an empty cig pack and in a sock, but with the socks rolled up so it looks like a normal pair of socks in a draw. I used to do the same with my "powder" substances, minus the cig box, I would put the powder in test tubes and in a sock...also a sunglasses case worked well too.

Pills just put them in an empty Tylenol (or something like it) bottle...or get a specific stash box.

I don't have to hide my stuff anymore cause I'm an adult but this is what I used to do.

I could give you more ideas and specifics if you told us what you are trying to stash...cause if it smells, is a large quantity, liquid, powder, etc...

I've thought about buying a bag of doritos or something, opening the bag and put it in then reseal the bag shut with superglue. I've been meaning to try it I just don't know how hard it would be to reseal it the right way.

Yeh, then someones poking around, sees unopened doritos and tries eating them. You gotta stash shit where people aren't going to want to look under normal circumstances. If you have an old tower PC rip out the motherboard and shit and use that. Put it in a corner with some other computer/tech shit or anywhere you want...you can easily open the side panel and get your shit.

I was told a story once about someone who used to get tips about dealers/whoever and rob them for their cash.

This guy and his buddies were very experienced, they knew where to look high and low. The story was about the only man they ever robbed where they actually couldn't find his money. They tore the house apart and looked in every crafty place, they knew it was in the house for sure but the man denied there was any money.

They called his bluff and finalized it, he was taken into the bathroom and a gun was pointed to his head. He had until the count of 10. Not being a complete fool he pointed to the toilet which had already been searched.

The toilet was unbolted and there it was, about 2 grand in a plastic container.

I would say this is probably a more long-term hiding area because I don't see how you would avoid having to change the wax ring every time the toilet was taken up, plus whatever mess the water makes.

Personally If I had something that I was incredibly paranoid about, I would hide it in my attic in a hollowed out 2x4 that was the right length to sister it with another 2x4 - by the right size I mean you'd be able to wedge it beside the main 2x4 so no nails are required. From there maybe sister up a few others so it doesn't look out of place and then put the insulation back. Think how much work it would be to remove a sea of pink insulation from an entire attic JUST TO GAIN VISIBILITY to the framework...then from there what's the person gonna do...even if they got a tip that it was hidden in a 2x4 in your attic they could collapse the whole roof on themselves (etc.) if they even think about cutting up and fucking around with load bearing 2x4's.

AND REMEMBER, the best way to get into a wall to stash something is from the attic, if you're going to stash in a wall, access it from the attic, if done otherwise you'll more than likely end up with an obvious entrance sitting on your drywall.

Roofing structures vary a HUGE amount from house to house, old houses will have rafters, newer ones won't, but if you don't have rafters there are a ridiculous amount of ways to frame it, just go up there and check it out - if you're really paranoid just build a secret room up there that can only be accessed from a secret spot in your ceiling.

That's about all, stay safe.

Take it out to the yard and bury it a foot underground.

Big quanity that you don't need to access very often? Nothing better then burying it.

Theres tons of hiding places that are perfect though, majority reason any of them ever get found is do to your own loud mouth...Or pulling it out while someones around. For as many people I have met and known, only 1 person I could honestly trust with anything. Can't trust anyone else, family members too. If the amount of money or drugs is great enough that will change anyone.

Spend the first several weeks upon completion of your relocation only emerging from your dwelling upon the arrival of full on night time. Locate the areas where the local homeless community appear to claim as their own, and enter said area. Either capture one or two live hobos at a time and save the terminated of them until you have returned to your home, or engage in mass bum extermination on sight. Dismember the corpses and first choose the best limbs out of the available options and remove them from their jobless bodies carefully, and stash them in whatever you brought along with you for this very purpose. Then after you have attained the choice parts from the exterior, it's time to dissect the hobos and repeat the same process of searching for the best quality parts of the interior with the same, if not increased, importance placed on minor detail, and then do the same as before and remove the alpha-guts and put them into your storage device, and swiftly depart from the scene wasting no more time than it takes to put the rejected parts in immature yet hilarious positions that will act as a distraction that will cause the authorities to forget about the multiple counts of pre-meditated cold-hearted homicide in the midst of the childish giggling that will ensue when found, letting you off the hook completely.

Once you return back home with your materials take your bed, couch, dining table, whatever as long as it has a flat surface and can adequately hold a human body with minimal product spilling over the given area but still enough space to permit the finished product to be displayed spread-eagle in position and still maintain a decent amount of patches of surface to provide the assembling process the convenience and safety features it requires and deserves, and move it to the center of your place. Now shut off all the lights and all things that create the slightest bit of light with the exception of the tv which will be left on for the entirety of the project but be kept only on a channel that displays audio and image of static, then proceed to set the volume level to approx. 80% capacity, and do not adjust until I say is the time to do so, so it is advised that the remote is to be close by at all times.

Now that you have your materials and work area ready and have set the tone of the project, it is time to begin. Basically you read all that crap to find out that I've got nothing original and am going to steal the idea from Frankenstein and am having you create a living creature from the best quality hobos possible so that you can "program" it to function as sort of a slave and obey your commands with the highest level of competency that recycled artificially functioning brains of the homeless are able to achieve. Since this is more than long enough already, and I've already explained what I was going to go into detail about and proved it unworthy of your time to read it all due to its shameless plagiarism I'll end the post now. I also have to get back to the other forums and see if I've gotten any feedback on my other elaborate retarded thoughts.

Hope this helps. Well, not really. Otherwise I'd have actually helped instead of opting to take this route in my reply. Maybe next time.

Smash your monitor and throw it in there, then just put in a little piece of cardboard and paint it to hide the fact the monitor is broken. Fail-safe.

Bury whatever you need at a plot of land you have access to. For instance, you a deceased relative's property may still be owned by the family, though rarely visited. Hide it there.
