What the hell? They're everywhere. I'm surrounded by so many young adults that are compulsive liars/exaggerators. It's really annoying. Will this subside later in life, or are some people always like this? And by some, I mean a reasonable percent.

They're called cunts.

I guess for the purpose of inflating self-esteem, no?

There are some people of all ages like that so I'd say it stays with them for the rest of their lives.

What I've found is often these people have decent talents, they just want to be better than everyone else. I don't get it either.

i think liars are screwed up in the head more than anyi.
i once knew of a guy who lied and told bogus stories constantly.
i was told he become like that after had a head injury and recieved brain damage.

I actually lie, even when I dont want to, like a reflex. It has helped me on more than one occasion, such as talking to the police while insanely drunk. It sucks that I have to do a double take, and say something like "oh wait, no I dont" or something to that effect.

I know whatcha mean. I only lie if its to be of my direct benefit. Example

guy: how much drugs is this?

me: Its this much (less than appropriate)

guy: K cool *hands more money than its worth*

me: pleasure doin business
