Party at the bus stop! OR: How I learned to stop worrying and love randoms
So I go to community college now 'n what not, and I have to take the bus to get there/back, which takes a while as I have to wait for a transfer bus, etc etc.
On the first bus out of the college to the transit center I'm whooping it up with some people I met, getting to know some girls, you know, just general fun. Nothing major.
So then I get to the transit center and as soon as I walk off the bus a homeless, hippy guy with dreadlocks, a radio playing, all grungy 'n what not comes up to me and asks for some spare change. Or bud.
Well, hell yes. I have no money but I have plenty of the reefer. We smoke a fat bowl, and then I give him a nice nugget for him to enjoy on his travels. Pretty cool, but nothing out of the ordinary. We kick it & shoot the shit, mostly him telling me about all his strange concert adventures as he's the kind of guy that goes around following bands and getting high.
Then he takes his bike and goes to buy beer for both of us. That too, is pretty cool, but not too out of the ordinary. Beer and bud. Most excellent.
'n then this blond guy walks up to me and starts talking about the bus and hospitals and how he fakes migraines to get opiates etc etc. He's just raving and jabbering like only someone with a serious opiate supply can do, I know some of you know what I'm talking about. Where you don't even worry about wasting yr high because you've got so much damn morphine you could kill an elephant...
So he pulls out his "morphine spray. well, I mean, it's synthetic morphine."
Personally I couldn't care if it's semi-synthetic-naturalistic-organic-holistic-nonsensical morphine. An opiate is an opiod is a fun time.
So he let's me take a spray up my nose...Mmm, damn, hit me pretty hard. After five minutes my nose was all burning and I started getting all warm and friendly. Smoking cigs, drinking beer, stoned as hell...and now with some opiates. Hell yes! What the hell happened here? Why did all these people with down syndromes suddenly surround us? Why am I partying at a bus stop?
I still can not understand what happened or why, other than today was a good day. Got another spray on the bus and by the time I was back at my house I was high as HELL. So high I go up to my parents and tell them I'm putting some beer in the fridge. They don't mind me smoking bud but alcohol is kind of a sore subject....the point being though, well, there really isn't much of a point, other than it turns out that this synthetic morphine was actually Butorphanol.
I like this drug. I haven't heard much about it though. Why is this? Apparently it was taken off the market in one form or another because of the potential for abuse. How common is it? I know I've heard of it, but mostly in the peripherals of my mind.
Anyone?

Re: Party at the bus stop! OR: How I learned to stop worrying and love randoms
Recently I was at the bus stop waiting for a bus, when I realized the drunken homeless people playing music for change near by were actually some of my close friends who I failed to recognize in the dark. I too proceeded to party at the bus stop, good times.

Rizzo you lucky bastard. Last time I came across a hobo all I god was a weird smell that followed me around for 20 minutes and 10 dollars less in my pocket.
Fuckin' strangers with tasty morphine spray.....
I've heard of Butorphanol but I can't recall where either. Seems like I saw it on a documentary or some shit. I'll have to do some research on that shit.

Re: Party at the bus stop! OR: How I learned to stop worrying and love randoms
Butorphanol:
Butorphanol is a morphinan-type synthetic opioid analgesic. Brand name Stadol was recently discontinued by the manufacturer. It is now only available in its generic formulations, manufactured by Novex, Mylan, Apotex and Roxane. Butorphanol is most closely structurally related to levorphanol. Butorphanol is available only as butorphanol tartrate in injectable and intranasal spray formulations.
'n then this blond guy walks up to me and starts talking about the bus and hospitals and how he fakes migraines to get opiates etc etc.
The most common indication for butorphanol is management of migraine using the intranasal spray formulation. It may also be used parenterally for management of moderate-to-severe pain, as a supplement for balanced general anesthesia, and management of pain during labor.

Cool read :)
Peace.

Excellent story, I only wish I could have been there.
I don't know much butorphanol but it sounds like it'd be good(I mean.. how could it not be).
I have the urge for some crazy random parties now.. isn't it funny how things come about like that.

Re: Party at the bus stop! OR: How I learned to stop worrying and love randoms
That sounds awesome, Rizzo. Huge herds of black people just kick it at the bus stops around here. They don't even ride the bus. They just kick it there, acting like their waiting for the East Oakland bus when in reality they take the bus to white suburbia when the time comes to go home. That being said the cops love to drop by and hassle anyone at the bus stops. Which is why I love my car.
