Default Door-to-door money scam

Ok, here's my plan for a scam to make some quick money:

SWIM is going to go door-to-door in a nearby neighborhood (where nobody could recognize me) asking for donations to some worthy cause, like Hurricane Gustav relief, or the genocide in Darfur, etc... SWIM will make some nice fliers for this and maybe even make a tshirt about the cause, all so it looks more legit. SWIM will get a hair cut, put on some nice clothes, and spend some extra time in the morning tidying up so as to look more professional and trustworthy. SWIM will say that this is for some school club and that he is merely a representative for it -- I think people would be much more willing to donate money to a school organization than some random kid.

How should SWIM go about asking for payment? Would most people be willing to pay in cash?, because obviously check or credit card open up a paper trail that must be avoided at all costs. How could SWIM possibly be caught assuming no stupid mistakes are made, and how much could SWIM expect to make in a good day (maybe 2-3 hours on a Saturday) of work?

Most people are wise to this, but it can still work if you have a council workers vest, briefcase with bullshit charity event leaflets and other related leaflets and paperwork, along with a fake ID with the charity's logo.

It works best if you can get some young kids in on it to come door to door with you (obviously don't tell them the real cause because eventually little kids blab under pressure if found out), you could give the kids a little bit of cash to persuade them to help you out (say about £20 will be like 1000 to a 10 year old kid).

Then afterwards you have sex with the children (you give them the money afterwards to in exchange for keeping quiet), you're gonna need some action after walking the streets all day getting donations; it gets boring quickly trust me.

Some of the time you can get away with just posting a leaflet made in photoshop with an envelope through their door with the return address as your drop or some shit like that, 419 scammers do similar shit but with subscription forms to get potential victims details (I had a thought to do it with reader digest subscription forms with older/retired and often senile targets).

Fuck all this shit though, make your own cult up and go door to door getting people (just don't be as annoying as the johos, come sometime midday or late afternoon); homeless people are good to get into your cult as well. You can make money and laugh at naive fuckers while making an army for yourself out of them as well. A cult would be more profitable, look into it.

Ask for changes like a beggers

"If you donate $1, two people get a hamburger!" or some bullshit.

Guilt-trip is the key.

Edit: If you get caught.....you will get slammed with fraud.

If SWIM gets caught or has anybody suspicious about him, he could just go ahead and donate the money like he said. It'd be very hard for anybody to win any sort of case against SWIM.

Beggars are looked down on; I on the other hand get them to do my dirty work. and as I already said they'd make great cult members if you were to make one.

They will do ANYTHING just for a little bit of money.

I've done this before except we didn't plan anything. We just thought hey we need some money, so we went out door the door and asked to raise money for the special people at our school. We got 5 bucks, lulz. Someone threatened to call the cops unless we showed papers. We apologized that we didn't bring papers and left.

Thumbs up Re: Door-to-door money scam

I don't really think many people are going to blindly throw you cash just because you dropped the charity bomb. You need to have some sort of proof that their 5$ isn't going to your drug problem.

The best idea would probably be to go door to door with some kind of box and fake fliers saying that its a charity that im representing in my school, show school ID if need be and that any kind of donation would be grateful.

2-3 hours of this on a saturday mid day. Say bout 100 houses maybe. 1-5 bux a house. Ud have 100-500 bux easily. I mite try to get someone to do this.

My school is also well known for charities like this though. My school flys down to new orleans every year to help out the damage from katrina still
