Let me start of by saying I am not a Nazi, nor do i believe in the principles of nationalism-socialism. However, me and a friend decided to do a little experiment. On both of our facebook pages we listed our political views as Nationalist Socialist Worker's party. It's been that way for over 3 months, an NOBODY has noticed. I have many friends who I guarantee would be outraged if i listed myself as a Nazi. But it disgusts me that people today aren't educated on basic history. Has anyone else encountered experiences like this?

But no, I always knew people were stupid. But not that stupid. Especially because I have a few idiot friends who think they know politics, I'd think at least those people would pick up on it.

Ugh, what's your point? You're smarter than everyone else? The party is known more commonly as the Nazi Party. Members of the party are called Nazi's. Therefore, people are more likely to know the Nationalist Socialist Worker's party as the "Nazi Party". Not everyone is interested in gathering world war 2 trivia and reads about German politics 70 years ago.

I would hardly call it trivial. It's pretty basic knowledge.

But what pisses me off to no avail is that I have many friends who are considered "smart" because they go to class and just memorize shit and take tests and people think they're so smart. These people take one look at Nationalist Socialist Worker's Party, and it means nothing to them. Even people who nowadays are considered smart and fucking dumbshit.

I had my interests as Date rape and my activities as Clubbing Seals. Nobody cares.

People who know what it means probably just find it funny.

Stupidity and ignorance are not the same thing. Not knowing anything about German history is ignorance. Stupidity is when you hold opinions that are based on vague, arbitrary assumptions.

And I think that most people would consider that not basic knowledge. The Nazi party, D-Day, the battle of the bulge, Iwo Jima, concentration camps, all is basic knowledge. The official name of the Nazi Party is not common knowledge. Do you know the official name of the Italian party, Japanese party, British party, or the Russian party? Probably not (not without google atleast).

The only thing you managed to prove is how stupid you are, if you think that silly experiment proves anything.

Could they not have seen your change? Could they have not seen it, and thought it was a joke? Could they not have seen it, understood it and decided not to confront you about it? There are dozens of explanations.

Hell, even if we ignore all those flaws the only thing you could actually say is that your friends are retarded.
