Is mixing benzos and cocaine a bad idea? I took 7.5 mg of adavan(sp) earkier today and was wondering if it's bad to mix? I've heard mixing uppers and downers is a bad idea but obviously that is not true. What to &t say?

And, I don't know why you would wanna mix them with cocaine, they are usually very good for the comedown from coke.

I woke up took 10mg valium

Later that day few hours later i was face down in some cocaine

I forgot i even took the valium i was fine but for the future i would not suggest it

First off its a waste for you to be snorting Ativan, just pop that shit(save your nostrils). Second, your just completleywasting that by snorting coke with it. As said, take the ativan when your coming down off the yayo, you'll find it is much more efficient.
Mixing uppers and downers really isnt good for your heart/body, but since your snorting coke anyway I take it you really dont care about yourself in the first place.

Ya sorry I was on my friends laptop yesterday with vista and internet explorer and I didn't want to bother checking the spelling of any words I wasn't sure of. I didn't sniff the ativan and I hadn't planned on doing coke when I took it. Although I have taken ativan to make the comedown easier off coke, it seems to me it is worse for you bringing your body from a depressed state, to up. If you know what I mean. Can anyone offer any in site on this?

Ativan is just a downer, its not going to bring your body 'up' from anything. What it will do it mellow out the comedown effects of any upper and depress your system to the symptoms arent as bad. Even when you are 'coming down' off lets say cocaine, your CNS is still on the 'up' and it takes a long time for you to reach your normal original CNS level. What downers literally do is speed up this process to return to your normal level and then depress it a little more.

You misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was just asking if it is worse for you to start off taking downers than latter in the day taking uppers as apposed to the normal way of taking downers to come off a stimulant.

How much duration between the two drugs? If you take lorazapam during the day and during the night you start blowing lines, you shouldnt have a problem at all. Compared to taking downers while coming down, its probaly honestly better to take it during the day then later blow, as long as there is some time elapse(Although it is probaly more effective to take it during the comedown). Although the differences between the two are pretty much one in the same. Hope that helps...
