Don't you guys get it? Marijuana will never be legalized... they're holding it in front of us, leading us along like a man holding a carrot on a fishing pole in front of a horse. Meanwhile the politician assholes are stealing out our rights from under us and we ignore it beause they're fooling us into thinking we'll get cheaper weed someday. :(

I wish it were legal but as long as it stays decriminalized then it's all good.

But it probably is just a matter of time. There is already Cannabis Clubs littered around California.

My friend Bob Sacemano knows a guy who counts the votes or something, and he was going to do me a favor and introduce me to him at the coffee shop in about 10 minutes to see if he could get me a job. Sacemano says it's real simple to fix things the way you want. I've had enough of the governments macho head games. It's our time now Jerry, it's our time!

Do you have any shredded coconut?

Yeah I just met the guy. He hooked me up. I'm making a difference now, Jerry. I'm correcting the mistakes of my fellow citizens without having to go through the whole broken political system. I'd like to see the look on that fat cat Uncle Sam's face when this goes through. One man can make a difference Jerry! Oh here's your walkman back. It was broken when you gave it to me.

as long as it stays decriminalized then it's all good.

It might sound good, but in reality, decriminalization fucks up the market more then it already is.

Decriminalization usually means that while the consumers will no longer be treated as criminals, the sale and production of the good are still prohibited, and usually the penalties for committing such 'crimes' are made to be harsher then when it was completely illegal.

Because of this, friendly mom and pop grows (who favor quality over quantity) would trickle down to non existent as less and less friendly, otherwise law abiding citizens would no longer be willing to risk the penalties. This would open up the market for people willing to take those risks, such as gangs.

Gangs prefer quantity over quality, trying to produce as much as they can to get it out on the streets and make money quickly. While doing this they sacrifice quality. Not only that, but the sudden lack of competition allows a gang a much larger portion of the population of consumers, also allowing them the ability to greatly increase the cost of the goods.

Meaning that decriminalization of pot would lead to shittier pot at higher prices, would link more organized crime to the toker community, and is in no way a step towards a better world.
