Default What will work best?

hey im new to weight lifting but i have been using a bench press for a week or so. So far i have been lifting weights which allow me to do multiple sets of 15 reps.

...i have enough weights to make it more difficult but i can do less reps and less sets.

what will develop muscles faster?

thanks

Do 6 sets with 10-15 reps. The last 2 sets should be damn near impossible.

There's a trillion routines out there.

There's sufficient evidence from research that one quality set will give you at least 90% of what multiple sets do.

There's also a large debate about working to failure versus not.

I don't know the answers , personally.

But I feel if you're going to do multiple sets, with muscle growth as a goal, somewhere in the middle or near the end, of these sets, you should do a set that becomes extremely difficult near 5 reps.
You can go beyond the 5 and work it to failure or not.
But, IMO, the weight should be too heavy to lift 10 times.

You didn't say anything about how often you squat and deadlift.

On bench I go 7-7-6-5-3-2-2 getting increasingly heavier each time and I try to put enough weight on there so I can never finish the last rep after the fourth set...
