Burn After Reading
Looks like its going to be a pretty interesting movie...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0887883/
Brad Pitt looks like he is going to pull off another crazy ass role...
When it comes down to it man that guy can act.
He switches it up and doesn't pull the same character act like alot of these fucks nowadays.

Re: Burn After Reading
Movie looks good. And true, brad pitt is an actor, not a character.

Re: Burn After Reading
I don't really care that Brad Pitt is in it. I'm gonna have to see it just out of respect for the Coen Brothers.

I dunno...Brad Pitt really has three modes as far as I can tell: crazy and cool; look-at-me-I'm-Brad-Pitt; and look-at-me-I'm-Brad-Pitt-but-I'm-being-srs-in-this-movie. I don't have a problem with him, and he can do great comedy, but...yeah, not what I'd call a particularly good actor.

I think Pitt has a higher tally of smug "I'm just going to stand around being myself" movies. Plus, Smith did Ali, which rocked.

Are you kidding me? Brad Pitt percentage of doing the smug/himself roles in movies are a hell of a lot less than Will Smith. Brad Pitt has also made a shit load more movies than Will Smith so he's more likely to have played that kind of role more times anyway. Go look at each other's IMDB page and think about it again.

It's sort of comparing apples and oranges, because Smith is much more of an action star. Even so, I don't consider his role in say Wild Wild West or MIB or Independence Day to be half as smug/obnoxious as Pitt in the Ocean's 11 movies or Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Whatever...doesn't matter much. Neither is my favorite actor, but I prefer Smith.

Re: Burn After Reading
you guys have got to be kidding me. neither brad pitt or george clooney can act. they do basically the same 2 or 3 characters in every movie. this looks like a movie that will make money because of the names attached to it, but will just be one of those meh movies that you might watch on cable in a few years when there's nothing to do. but not me, because it looks dumb and typical.
the coen brothers are really hit or miss. i liked fargo, no country for old men, the big lebowski...the rest is all meh. like intolerable cruelty. that was such a gay george clooney movie.
