En route, these trucks would be as vulnerable as any other car or truck on the road, and an "accident" involving nuclear waste would surely cause a mass scare of "terrorist" activity.

Your main issue is going to be finding the truck that has nuclear wastes in it. They probably keep that secret.

Um. Do do some research on the federal mandates that dictate how durable these waste containers are, then report back and tell us how much of a dumbass you are.

Even Penn & Teller mentioned this on their show. The waste storage caskets were tested via impact by a train engine at 65 mph or so, and also baked over a fire to several hundred degrees and remained totally unharmed. Nothing you can pull off will put a scratch on one of these things, but it certainly will get you arrested and sent to gitmo.

Instead of using the mass of something else hitting the container, use the container' mass. make if fall off a tall bridge or something. Run it over with a tank? You can rent an M1 Abtams fromt eh military to make a movie. It doesnt come with any shells though so you cant shoot the thing. (That would be the best way)
