Some slightly complicated opiate tollerence questions
I know this post is very long so do not read if you do not want to. If in any event you feel the desire to post TLDR, Flames, helpful comments, links or funny pics after reading please feel free to do so bellow. I know this is long but some of you may find it interesting:D
At $10 dollars / 8mg the brand name Dilaudids were the best buy on the block followed closely by OxyContin 80mg pills at 20 - 30 bucks a pop. Ones bank account would indeed shrink and so may their activities beyond taking drugs... all this while ones tolerance may shoot through the roof. I am LittleFootOnLSD and I have a tolerance (not addiction) to opiate based drugs.
Needless to say using once a week in large doses would result in a large tolerance increase. I started off with needing one dilly 8 all day and one OC80 was more than enough to go around. I would use Oxycodone or Hydromorphone almost exclusively primarily snorting the drugs but also eating them. After a couple months I would need to ingest around 3 - 5 Dilly 8's for a good snorted buzz or eat around 30 - 60 mg's of Oxycodone but would eat upwards of 70 - 80 mg's at one time with essentially no ill effect.
Back up, I have to explain a bit more. The drugs did not by any means become boring to take and life was grand even when not high but I saw no problem with what I was doing and as such continued to take these drugs in varying (all be it increasing) quantities once every week or so. I eventually got board though (especially with Dilaudid) and wanted something new and exciting.
Vancouver is home to Canada's one and only safe injection site meaning you can bring any drug and the nurses there would assist in prepping them for injection. This oppened up all new possibilities. Case in point, IV drug use would become the new prefered method of administration.
Switching to using needles as means of administering a drug did not bother me and changed nothing except for me needing to spend less money and making morphine a drug that I would now be able to effectively utilize in my goal to attain a pleasurable custom state. This whole concept struck me as almost a fine art and is what got me interested in drugs to begin with. Anyways, my use stayed at once a week only now I needed as little as 10 dollars or less to have a great time.
For those of you wondering, the fact that IV Dilaudid in partiqular feels similar to yet better than orgasm did not increase my desire to get high but it did result in me taking dangerously high doses in my quest to obtain "The Ultimate hit" which I figured is what I wanted to do when I put drugs in my system. The fact that opiates are to my knowledge relatively harmless as far as damaging the body and mind go also gave me no incentive to cease use.
At times I would take a combination of drugs. One time I ate 10 5mg percocets in one single mouthful along with several T3's, injected a 20 mg dose of dilaudid and chased that with a large hit of morphine as Dilly has almost no legs. Around this time I noticed that although I did not use more than once a week I was spending just as much if not more than when I was snorting and eating the drugs and as such came to the obvious conclusion that my tolerance had again gone (way) up. Ill sumarize dosses of what I would do bellow.
All IV :
Morphine ~ Anywhere from 90 - 150 or so mgs per shot but up to around 200mg in a couple hours. I say around because the beads gell and require multiple washes but I am sure you never get everything. Still though, I would need at least 2 100mh ethix "greys" to ensure a whole days worth of being high. This only cost 20 bucks but still, that is allot of morphine. Also, I loved taking shots of morphine after a shot of dilly as it enhances and prolongs both drugs.
Hydromorphone ~ This one pisses me off. Although it gives one of the greatest rushes known to man it builds tollerence like none of the other drugs I took. When I snorted them prior to using IV I would snort at times over 70 mgs in a day if supplies lasted (I once went through 20 Dilly 8's in just under 3 days). When I started shooting them I would only need around 4mg but quickly I ended up requiring between 16 - 24 mgs for a good shot. That would nod me off and have me creaming my pants for sure if only opes didn't constrict the urinary tract and make you senile.
Oxycodone ~ Never shot it but often combined it with shots.
And there you have it. My chemical love affair where the bitch demands more money to keep you happy. Strangely throughout all this time Codeine did not seem to be that effected by my tolerance and at any time with or without other drugs in me popping 5 - 7 T3's would give me a rush that not even oxy could give but not as good an overall high.
Now for the important questions.
On a trivial side note. I find it strange that I have never suffered withdrawl either mental (cravings) or physical during the week when not using. I also wondered, when I would say eat some oxy or codeine before a shot but then did the shot it almost completely canceled out the mental effects of the codeine or oxy. Do strong opaites overide other drugs or sumthing?
Obviously I am wondering. How long realistically for tolerance to diminish? I am taking a multi month break as school is starting. If some time mid October I wanted to eat some Codeine or oxy would I need far less ( would like 20 mgs oxy give a great high again) and if I did that would it raise it right back to where it was after one dose? Also, if after only dossing once every couple months after 10 months would my tolerance essentially be back to where it was before ever using them (remember my large doses).
MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION ~ I read that taking opes actualy increases the number of opaite receptors and as such can pernamentaly change how opes can effect you. Do you think I created many new ones after only 10 months or so of using once a week but really only 2 months of IV use and if so after many months will it still go down notably. I mean, it wont really effect my high will it?
Be safe and have fun, LittleFootOnLSD

Re: Some slightly complicated opiate tollerence questions
tolerance does that, but your jumps in tolerance pretty much explains addiction, so you may hypothetically have some will power of steel, but your finding that the quest to get high is greater than almost everything else. well if that isn't addiction spank my ass and call me sally...
your first fuck up was going to the needle. you've opened some doors that will never shut all the way. sticking shit in the mainline will alter things alot more drasticlly than all the other methods of ingesting drugs..
part of tolerance is psychological. shoot up somewhere different and you'll notice you need alot less than if you went to the clinic. its been proven in multiple sources that getting high as ritualistic as it can be, creates an environmental tolerance. part of tolerance is actually psychological, infact i wouldn't doubt [sense you aren't using enough to be dependent] most of your tolerance issues is just that psychological. [note: dependency and addiction are two different things, you can be one without being the other, they usually however go hand in hand]
you know dude, you say be safe and have fun, but your not using opiates in any remotely safe manner. if i remember correctly you had an OD scare not too long ago, surprisingly it didn't wake you the fuck up, which means the shits really gonna have to hit the fan for you. news flash, keep doing what you're doing and you'll end up dead. consuming opiates like they're gonna run away on you means your limit is only what you can afford, so your fucked if you get either a good supplier or a shit load of cash...
look, some of this may come off rather blunt, maybe even rude, but i'm trying to help you [ironicly]. now as for residual tolerance, can't really help you there without the dependency factor. but it stays quite a bit [if you were dependent]. case in point, if you were dependent, and stopped using say oxycodone, and it took you 80mgs in less than 2 hours to get off. 3-4 months down the line you'd get off again at 20mgs. but 20mgs will never send you to lala-land like it did when you were an opiate virgin.
now, it may not seem like this yet, or to you, but your going down the slippery slope of a junkie. sure your not using everyday yet, but that day will come. it doesn't seem like a problem because as you say theres no ill-effects to not using. sure now there isn't, but keep doing what your doing and there will be, that is if you don't kill yourself first..
heed your own words man, and be safe.

Re: Some slightly complicated opiate tollerence questions
As far as tolerance goes say you can't quit opiates but can tapper to very low doses say from 80 everyday to 5 - 2.5mg everyday the psychological dependence just gets the best of you and the ritual of taking pills.
Would this drastically lower your tolerance or must you abstain from opiates all together?

I honestly appreciate al lthat you wrote. I don't feel like I actualy ever want to spike again as really I don't need that high a high. I made up my mind back in gr 9 i wanted ot try everything and I did. I have done all the basics from crack to weed and some fancies like mdma powder. I stopped taking most things that I felt were serious health dangers like rock which I never cared for and really I don't feel a loss during the break with opes so far. I know even after a break using some oxy or codeine wont be the same but neither is a good movie after seeing it before, it is still good though. I have no fear about living a life free of opes as I am not dependant on them for enjoyment and have never felt dope sickness. I do feel sicj about how many good friends I could have made and all the great things I could have done for myself and others over the last 10 months.
Sure I have given quite a bit of money to baggers down in Vancouver and even gave one freezing guy a nice hoodie that I had just bought. I do wish though that I had put more into grade 11. I am now into grade 12 and have to re do some cources but really I was querious back about what the whole deal with drugs was and this queriosity would have never been satisfied had I not tried them. Still, I didn't need to play as much as I did. I abussed opiates. Anyways, tihngs are good now.

So your a senior in high school, and you have already smoked crack and used opiates intraveaneously, and cant spell courses? Thats not too normal, even in heavy drug users to get into things like that at such an early age, you might want to rethink your priorities in life, before you fuck up too bad.

I would use coverall on my tracks and this worked well but I also told my parents. They cut off all money that they gave to me but said if I ever needed help that they would support me but I told them I was giving it up ( the needle and all drugs for quite some time ) and I feel that I got the situation under control.

Mine...they don't notice anything...or do and are in denial...before I graduated and became a certified phlebotomist that would have been a good excuse...cause my arms were fucked from practicing drawing blood in class.

Re: Some slightly complicated opiate tollerence questions
Really, one thing I hate the most is drugs ability ot make you act in ways you never would have. I never really stole much ( just a 10 dollar bill laying around here and there ) but lying and dishonesty made me sick to my stomoch... TO MY ADOPTIVE PARENTS NO LESS. They gave me a great life and than I pull that shit ... No , just no. Also, opiates I find make one worse than a teenager on the rag. On high IV dosses of Dilly I would yell and curse them out for the littlest things. I hear this isn't rare but could someone please explain it? I am a great drunk and elequent on psychs but on opiates... UGHH ...

They don't fry you like amps and the like. Other than causing chronic constipation the really don't post much risk apart from seizures if you are sensitive. All this provided you don't od obviously. I mean, the lifestyle that can accompant addiction can be bad obbviously but the chem itself is relatively harmless.

If your starting to shoot up large amounts of opiates, addiction is very close. You may not think you have a problem, but you should be careful.

Re: Some slightly complicated opiate tollerence questions
The way you describe it sounds like you use daily
For me it used to be the weekend/then it would seap into the week/ before i knew it it was all day everyday
But just yesterday frustrated i couldnt hit a vein i threw my needle out, was sick of wasting my shit by squirting it in my mouth every time i tried to iv shit
I guess it was not so much as i threw my rig out..........some one used it after me and i was not taking it back
But it was for the better as to not tempt me to use it
Fiend out i would stare at the poster i knew it was behind imagining me injecting myself for hous on end
