Ok this is nasty shit. I've been taking care of this pet rat for my sister for a few months now with nothing bad happening. So then I went on this trip for 3 weeks, and left the cage open so she could run around and had my room mate replenish the water/food. I left it open because her rat partner died and it breaks my heart to have it stuck in that cage for so long.

Anyways the sick shit. So this rat likes to fuck shit up in like piles of clothes, under chairs etc, and can spread debris around. So anyways my first night back I notice the rat is partially covered in these small brown flecks that look similiar but are smaller than brown rice. I just assumed it was debris from what ever she was doing to my stuff. So I wake up (fell asleep in a shirt) with my shirt almost totally covered in this shit. I thought the rat just spread some debris on my while I was sleeping, because I always leave her out. Anyways I throw my shirt into a dirty pile and grab a new shirt. Like a few hours later I notice more of this sick shit but now I'm equipped with my glasses and I notice some of this shit is wiggling. So I tear my shirt off like Hulk Hogan and I see a lot of this sick shit is on my forearms, probably from handling the rat. I start plucking this sick shit off me and now I'm freaking out. The rat had a large portion of herself somewhat covered in this and now it totally disappeared.

Oh yea now my right foot is totally swollen in a couple of places totally sick-like, although I'm not sure if is related to that sick shit, because I left my vacation with a couple of spider and mosquito bites. Although the swollen areas certainly don't look like mosquito bites, more like gigantic spider/something-else bites.

I'm not sure if it was trying to burrow, if it even has the capacity, what its intentions/motives are or what it is.
