Alcohol and what BAC you like
Read this: http://tinyurl.com/y56bol
Look at the effects and guess where you like to be when:
1)Drinking alone(either watching TV, or music, or just chillin)
2)Drinking with friends (for social outtings and keeping conversation, maybe over dinner)
3)Partying for social (music, friends, no meaningful conversation but "catching up", joking, playing games, etc )
4)Partying to get drunk (drinking games, no conversation, etc.)
And what you consider:
5)Buzzed
6)Drunk
7)Hammered
3 stages of impairment if you use different names, whatever.
How much gets you there is optional
For me:
1).01->.06, 1 or 2 drinks in an hour
2)The same, I like to feel the effects but not be impaired
3)Around .1 - blurred vision, talking w/o thinking, are all common
4) Dont like to but used to be low stage 3. Sometimes would slip into 4.
5)Anything under .1, means to me: feel strong effects but be in control
6)A little over .1, means to me: not in control, like being detached from myself
7) Pass out, loss of memory....regrets heh.
You?

Re: Alcohol and what BAC you like
Alcohol and i have a standing love-hate relationship.
~.12 is where i should be after my desired dose of alcohol is consumed over a period of time "happy time".
Drinking slowly keeps the buzz rolling, as opposed to taking shots and then feeling like shit.
I carry a 4oz flask and have learned to not dismiss the ~.04-.06 range.
A quick drink: at work; break/lunch or even during/prior a few select "easy-classes". I absolutely love a nice porter during the winter month on campus. :D
I find that a few shots enhances my speech, writing, and my information recall is unaffected. Allowing a few drinks prior to a non memory intensive class is a nice(but not particularly frequent) experience for me.

Well I'll break it down like this
1) 2-3 bud lights
2) 4-7 bud lights
3) 8-10 bud lights
4) 10-20 bud lights

But no converter is as good as a high quality reeder. If you drive, you should consider investing in such a device.

Re: Alcohol and what BAC you like
Oh, really?
Unless a person has developed a high tolerance for alcohol, a BAC rating of 0.20% represents very serious intoxication (most first-time drinkers would be unconscious by about 0.15%), and 0.35%–0.40% represents potentially fatal alcohol poisoning.[3] 0.40% is the accepted LD50, the dose that is lethal for 50% of adult humans.

of course there are the exceptions...

1)Drinking alone - .06-.08
2)Drinking with friends - .06-.1
3)Partying for social - .1-.15
4)Partying to get drunk - .16-.25
And what you consider:
5)Buzzed - .04-.08..
6)Drunk - .1-.2
7)Hammered - .21 +
very rough, but pretty much it.
one time i was really hammered, and the online breathalyzer said, based on what i drank and my height/weight: 2 40's of old e, 5 shots of 80 proof vodka, i would blow a .19. that's about the limit of fun for me before it goes bad (and you KNOW what I mean, not saying it's not fun but lol.) so i based it kinda on that.
another time i did it based on last night, which i drank 3/4th a flask of everclear, i typed that shit in there and it said .186. i was draaaank but i didnt get sick or have a hangover. so that's my limit. I know you Care. Choo-oo--oom.

Re: Alcohol and what BAC you like
^^same. I know how high im going to get if I take x amount from my stash, but once I start slamming drinks who knows.
But even the police ones are accurate, some can make mistakes of up to .05% They're only to determine if alcohol is there. The blood tests confrim if your over the limit to accute accuracy.

Re: Alcohol and what BAC you like
Going by that list...
1. I very rarely drink alone, but if I do I'll only have a couple of drinks, just enough to feel it. 0.03 maybe?
2. I used to like around 0.10, now I generally go for 0.06ish.
3. Parties where I'm looking to meet new people, about 0.10 now. Again, this used to be higher.
4. If it's a party where everyone's getting smashed, I'll usually end up at about 0.30, i.e. crawling or immobile.
5. Two pints of moderate beer gets me what I'd consider nicely buzzed. That seems to be about 0.04?
6. Drunk is probably about 0.11.
7. Hammered is reserved exclusively for when memory loss and generally being fucked set in. 0.19 or so.
It's all subjective, though. My speech starts to slur a bit way before I'm properly drunk, I'll stumble over words and things despite being pretty articulate normally. My coordination stays pretty good for a while, though, although it never used to. I don't really get most of the 0.06-0.10 physical impairments until I'm also getting the 0.11-0.20 impairments, which is when I'm really starting to get drunk.

The only time I care about my BAC is the time i get pulled over by the cops, otherwise i'm more concerned on having a good time.

Re: Alcohol and what BAC you like
I don't drink very much, but when I do I like a small gathering of friends in a relaxed environment. I don't like getting "fucked up" but a buzz is too mellow for me. I like the talkativeness and openess, the depth perception change, and feeling of well being.
Also I don't like hard liquor, I don't like downing it, and I don't like the drunk. It is fun for like 45 minutes then you just sober up instantly. I like sipping at a 40, a long rolling buzz. :) old english ftw

I might go buy one today.
