Default energy drinks are dangerous...

this is an extension of where the convo was going in my vitamin water thread...

personal exp: two-three years ago i was hooked on energy drinks, i drank at least 3 shots or 24 oz. of bull, rockstar, and the like everyday. i got pretty pale and sick, looked unhealthy, lost some weight, and got bad stomach pains especially when exercising.

other exp: i noticed sometimes it seems like everyone, especially girls, are drinking these triple monster drinks, like real big cans of this potent stuff, and drinking them at 730 am without having even eaten yet.

so i had one of those big arizona tonic energys (yellowish stuff) and i got pretty sick. went to the nurse at school (they cant do shit, cant even give advil). she told me that so far this year (this was a few months ago) 8 girls got sent to the hospital from my school after drinking energy drinks. see i guess it was because they were probably diminutive 90 lb girls drinking liters of the stuff, but still.

ehh these things are an unnatural fad.

Thumbs up Re: energy drinks are dangerous...

I sometimes drink them because they're so cheap at a store near here. I can get a 24 pack case for 3.99

Usually if I drink more than one or I drink one too fast I'll get horrible stomach pains.

Yeah, they're pretty shitty but sometimes the quick pick-me-up is worth it though.

I drink them for the taste they don't affect me(energy wise) I have a four hour drive from school to home, one time I made the trip real late, so I bought 3/3$ NOS(they taste the best IMO) and I drank all of them on the way home and went to bed right when I walked in the door, so mesa thinkin I have a high tolerance to caffine.

those things suck. just make me jittery and give that cold sweat feeling. i'd rather just feel slightly sleepy and stick it out.

what kind of drink is it?

I honestly drink them for the taste, I hate the jittery feeling caffeine gives me but luckily I hardly ever catch a buzz

They are only a danger to idiotic fools like yourself that drink multiple units everyday. A fast car in the hands of a drunk driver is dangerous. A can of Red Bull is not dangerous. This is ridiculous. Shut the fuck up.

I rather enjoy the taste of Rockstar so every now and again I'll allow myself one, however, I find that exercise, a decent diet and an agreeable amount of sleep give me far more energy than any "energy drink."

Still, can't say I support the notion of hundred pound girls knocking back multiple cans of the stuff. Remember that one guy a few years ago who had a heart attack and died after downing like, five?

Caffeine doesn't affect me anymore, but those Spike Shooters taste great. They're one of the few energy drinks I do still use, since Monster tastes like ass, but Jolt is my alternative.

I don't think they taste good at all, I never get jittery either. So I just never buy them if I can get a soda for the same price.

If you actually enjoy them whatever, but I HATE people that drink them to look cool, like "im the shit i drink caffeine." it really pisses me off.

Seriously is this not enough for you people?
