I always hear all the negative stuff like low motivation, short term memory loss, etc. but I've never gotten any of these side effects.

I'm normally talking about when I'm coming down, or the day after I get superbaked, I don't mind doing ANYTHING. I clean my room all day, I actually do my homework, because my mind is so chill and I just want to sit down and concentrate on something.

And I'm normally more mannerly and patient throughout the day. Normally if there is a shitload of people in line at wal-mart or something I'm like fuuuuuckk, but If I'm coming down from being high its just like okay cool I'm going to stand in this line for a while.

Pretty much makes it okay to be bored.. which can be a bad thing or a good.

As a musician, its helped improve my technique quite a bit. I also like to listen to my own compositions high and get new ideas... it works wonders for creative output.

Its also made me a more optomistic person in my daily life... and it gives me something to look forward to and some motivation to keep moving through a rough day, when I know i'll have a bowl waiting for me when I get home.

General positive outlook on life for me. Without it I get a little depressed because I am lacking excitement in my life. In turn this makes me more motivated and I have written a lot of great essays under the influence :D

Weed gives me the dopamine I (apparantly) otherwise lack.

This. A lot of good times came out of my friends from smoking...stories and inside jokes we wouldn't have otherwise. I suppose everything has it's good and bad though, so arguments could be made for either side...especially with all the health-kick people running around these days, and all the money wasted on these anti-drug commercials and campaigns.

I think we hear a lot of negative things about drugs more than ever because media is more prevalent and we are pretty connected to it all.

Makes me listen to music/observe film, art, etc., with a far less judgemental and superficial mindset. It makes me more sociable too, I've never really experienced the inwardly-directed disconnect that a lot of stoners talk about. It makes me more creative in general, and has honestly improved my skateboarding. It also has some great analgesic qualities, since I have back problems and frequent headaches and sinus pain. Weed almost seems to banish internal physical pain that I experience from my health problems.

Shit man that's pretty much exactly what happens to me. One time I got really really high with my friends, and when I came home, I was so chill that I had no aversion to doing my chores. I mowed the lawn, I cleaned my room, but since I was high/coming down it was pretty chill. After everything was over I looked up strange things on the internet, like paranormal stuff and quantum physics. None of that stuff really makes any sense to me normally, but when I'm high I can more easily grasp the confusing concepts and its just a mindfuck thinking about them.

I haven't really experienced any of the bad side effects of smoking weed.

Nothing honestly. Weed makes me wig out,so I don't smoke the shit.

Usually the weed from people that aren't evil does a lot of good things for me.

Gives me sympathy, gives me energy, gives me strength, helps me sleep when I need to sleep, makes food seem less disgusting, makes life more enjoyable...

I never would've had a girlfriend without weed. It gave me something to relate. With cannabis, I discovered how corrupt the world is, the governments, corporations, etc. Through the use of cannabis I gained the kind of intelligence that actually matters. I gained wisdom. Helped me appreciate things... One of the best things it's done is gotten rid of my allergies. When I was a kid, the school was filled with plants I was highly allergic to and to top it off I was very allergic to the more common allergens as well. Every day at school my nose was snotty. I never fit in, I was made fun of cause of it. None of the allergy medicines I got helped. They always had horrible side effects and didn't actually take away the allergies, just made my nose all clogged and gave me a headache.

After the first hit of weed, my allergies were gone. No side effects, other than being extra happy. No more snot. Such a fucking relief. I know it doesn't work the same for everyone, but there's a lot of scientific evidence of why it does work. My immune system seems to be excellent since I started smoking weed. I used to get sick all the time before I smoked...

Before I smoked weed I hated music. I didn't understand why people liked it. Certain weed helps me a lot with creativity. Also gives me motivation. I'm done

Hrmm this is a toughie. I have never really thought about the positives that smoking weed has, other than the fact it gets me high.

I havent really been smoking that long... probably 6 months? Maybe a little less. Although only in the last 6 weeks or so have I become a daily smoker. I have to say that I never smoke if I have somewhere to go, I find when I'm stoned I'm not the most talkative person, I tend to have trouble focusing on external things, and turn inward. How selfish of me haha. But in all honesty, when I smoke, I smoke to get so fucking high its unbelievable, and when I'm like that, I can hardly be a functional member of society. I tend to overindulge.

As for positives? Its like analgesia, gets rid of any and all kinds of pain... unles its severe I suppose, I wouldn't know, never had severe pain. Helps me sleep thats for sure.. and when I go to sleep stoned, I don't toss and turn at all during the night, I sleep right through till my alarm goes off. I also have crazy cool and graphic dreams, and I don't know about anyone else, but I LOVE remembering dreams, especially the crazy ones, and it helps me to do that. I've also done some pretty weird drawings when stoned... just draw whatever is on my mind at the time.

I have a shit load more negatives though... which funnily enough dont register as a reason to stop.
