I asked about an IUD but my doctor said he wouldn't recommend it. It's usually for women who have already given birth. The non-hormonal variety also causes severe cramps and heavy bleeding around your period. He said that he'd give it to me as a last, desperate resort.
I'm thinking about the Depo-Provera shot but my gynecologist said that whatever symptoms you have with the mini-pill are more pronounced with the Depo-Provera shot. And there's nothing you can do about it for about 3 months until you get it out of your system. I don't know if I want to do that.
