Using smells to deter shoplifting (heads up)
just a heads up to the posters of BI...my friend skag works at this store, Paul Mart (yes it's a local ripoff of walmart, owned by this guy, paul. who would've guessed...) and they recently started implementing a new technique to deter shoplifting. they were having a problem with people taking merchandise into the bathrooms and removing the magnetic tags and then concealing it. they knew this because there'd be a shitload of magnetic tags in the garbage can in the restroom. so i guess this paul guy got the idea to take some dog feces and ground beef and shove it in the vent of the bathroom, with the idea to make the bathrooms smell so bad that no one will want to go in there and conceal merchandise that way. they've been doing this for a week and apparently it's been working because very few magnetic tags have been found in the garbage in the rest room, much less than before anyway. now i guess this paul guy has got this idea to patent something that would go on clothes, like those ink things they have now, but instead of ink, use something that would cause the clothes to fucking stink forever. like some kind of synthetic skunk spray.
smelly stuff: the new anti-shoplifting technology.

I'm calling bullshit first off, and why would they reinvent ink tag to do the exact same thing, but let off bad smells instead of ink?

because people have found ways around the ink, like freezing it. it's harder with a smell.

Smells would cost more. Kids would go around the store pulling all of the smell-tags.
