Rolling?
I'm sure these threads come up all the time and if there's already one made then a mod can just delete this is if they find it necessary. I come to you people as an outsider... well, from this particular area of totse. Hence the lack of knowledge of the thread history etc.
My question here is not so much on how to roll (i went through the text files and they couldn't help me) as i can roll very decently. My question is on how to make it smooth. Are there any specific practices that will make a joint smoother than another apart from having a roach or not? I simply use a cut up bus ticket or the paper packet as people generally do, and although its nowhere near as harsh as a bong or anything it could certainly be smoother.
Does it have anything to do with the actual shape of the joint or is it all in the roach/cardboard tip as that's what is keeping the smoke tame?
Sorry if this is noobish and all, but i'm sick of smoking a few j's and not being able to talk the next day as i'm sure you can all well relate to
Cheers,
MRman

bongs arent harsh just let ya get a huge hit which can make it harsh but whatever.

Re: Rolling?
I dont see how a bong would be more harsh considering that your also smoking paper in a joint.

Re: Rolling?
Stop using cardboard and start rolling like an american. I can roll perfectly smooth, perfectly shaped joints, without any fucking cardboard. Crazy foreigners and their cardboard tobacco laced joints.

Re: Rolling?
Explain why you believe a flimsy piece of rolled up card is going to affect how harsh or smooth the smoke is.
The only purpose I see in adding a "filter" is to keep the weed in the joint if you're a shitty roller and the joints too loose.
I don't understand how smoking a few joints will make you unable to speak the next day, maybe you need to smoke weed more often and get used to it. Or maybe your joints are too papery, or too loose.

Re: Rolling?
Use super-slim papers. The difference in harshness between using medium-weight and lightweight papers is surprisingly noticeable. Using a roach can help to roll more evenly-shaped joints, which will give a more regular smoke if not necessarily a smoother one. A longer, wider roach could also help the smoke to cool slightly, but only slightly. You could also try using mint leaves to mix with the weed in whatever ratio you want, mint spliffs taste extremely smooth but not disgusting like menthol. If you do like menthol though, you can buy menthol papers, but I've not tried them.
You could also try learning to roll a tulip (click here (http://www.weedfarmer.com/joint_rolling/tulip/tulip-joint.htm)), which smokes very smoothly. I can't roll them myself, but my mate can. Warning; gets you fucked. Or take hand hits, your hands function a bit like a mini bong and cool the smoke. Or just don't take such big hits, your throat'll toughen up. Or finally, just hold the smoke in your mouth for a couple of seconds before inhaling.
See, there's tonnes of shit you can do.
