What's the best out or upcoming FPS (First Person Shooter) for offline play?
I mostly don't know whether COD:4/MC or COD:WAW will be better, considering COD:WAW will once again be a game in the series produced by the same mob that did Call of Duty 3.

..and I suspect neither of them are worth your money if you're going to be playing offline 99% of the time. Yes, I know online play is a million times more fun, but it won't be that possible for me unfortunately - which changes the criteria and thus result up a bit.

Half life two, if you count that as war based. There is a war going on in it, so fuck anyone who disagrees.

Games are repetetive and boring offline, especially after the story mode is completed. There are no good war based offline FPS games really, not after story mode is completed.

Fuck that, it (XBL Gold) costs $80 a year PLUS a decent broadband connection ($600+ a year on top of that, seeing as I'd need to connect independantly of the phone and computer) which can handle it. M$ can go fuck themselves for this extortion bullshit.

Get a Wii or PS3 then if you're after a good online console FPS.

Or better yet, a PC.

But you are wrong, sir; COD4 is worth it for offline play.

Yeah, I know what you're saying..
..but it isn't an option for me right now. Plus, consoles work awesomely in the afternoon when you wake up trashed as fuck from goin hard in the clubs or at a party all night and morning and you just wanna lay on the ground.
