Favorite styles of beer?
What do you like? Ale, hefeweizen, cheap shit, malt liquor, stout?
I enjoy anything with a strong hops flavor/scent. The kind of pale ale that you can smell skunk across the room when somebody cracks one open.
I can also get down to some malt liquor like mickeys or some strong (7-8%) ale.
Mostly India/Pale ale, or if poor some regular pissy rental beer (think busch bavarian, pabst, coors)
or energy beers like sparks/tilt.

Re: Favorite styles of beer?
theres Big difference between what i like and what i drink normally.
If I'm trying to get drunk, I buy Keystone Light. it is cheap and decent tasting, for 15 bucks a 30.
if i am trying to get craft beers, or imports I get Guinness for a stout. For a lager I will get what is in season for either Samuel Adams, Long Trail Brewery, Magic Hat Brewery.
if i am feeling something foreign I'll get Hoegaarden

Good taste there. Magic Hat is actually my favorite company. Their No. 9 is amazing, as is the Cicrus Boy. Easily my 2 favorite beers. I have to go out of town to get it, though.
I also like Yuenling a lot. It's fairly cheap, but it's delicious. Too bad they don't sell it here, either.
Newcastle is great, especially on tap.

As I discovered last weekend, Stout is delicious with a dozen natural oysters.

There are a few other states that sell it, but not many. I know it's around in VA and NJ.
