Goopy resin
Straightforward stupid weed question. The resin in my bowl is goopy. I would like it not to be. How do I prevent this? And how would I go about drying up the stuff that's currently in the bowl? When I try to scrape it it's incredibly hard to get anything, I get more on my fingers than anywhere useful.

Re: Goopy resin
I've heard a microwave works well to dry out resin and resin covered bowls. Don't know firsthand though. And its supposed to fill your house with the smell of weed.

Re: Goopy resin
As far as making it not goopy, you have to let it dry out. It takes a while. I usually take a rolling paper, ball it up on the end of a bobby pin and scrape the resin out with that. Just use little pieces at a time.

Fuck. I don't really want to do this, and it would fuck my microwave up anyways so it really doesn't matter.

Fuck x2. It would be nice if I could dry the resin while it is inside the bowl, because I'm pretty much incapable of getting any good results when it's goop. And even if I had to scrape it out goopy, I don't really feel like waiting for it to dry. I couldn't tell you for a fact if it even does dry, because I can't just leave it sitting there.
Thanks for trying. But, fuck.

Re: Goopy resin
You can use the stovetop method if you aren't up for letting it dry:
Place the pipe on the top of your stove and turn it on. Get yourself a straw and put it on the opening of the bowl. Soon you'll see the smoke rising from inside the pipe (that would be the resin burning) and you inhale it with the straw. I don't do this too often at all..but it does work.

Re: Goopy resin
Uh, put a lighter to the part of the bowl you're going to scrape after disassembling it (assuming it's a metal pipe), and then use a screwdriver to get the heated resin out, and use something else other than your hands to get it off the screwdriver and put it on a surface where it can rest in peace until it's dry enough for smoking time.

You could always let the pipe sit there for a long time and it'll dry out. I don't have the patience for it, though, so I don't expect you to.
You don't really need to let it dry. It'll just sizzle when you smoke it. Just make sure to put a layer of ash in the bottom of the bowl, even if you have a screen.
