Cut up the whole thing, simmer it for about 24 hours with some lemon juice and water, strain the cactus out and drink the tea. It's best to evaporate it down to just a little bit of liquid. No more than a glass or so. You're not gonna want to drink more than that. Don't expect anything like MDMA. Mescaline's a psychedelic, MDMA's not.

If you're going to eat cactus straight up or extracted you want to take an MAOI so that you don't have to put up with the taste. With pills/powder you don't get a taste, so there are different methods and strategies of intake. It does fucking matter if he's taking pure mescaline or just eating a cactus.

This. I once successfully ate an entire pound of san pedro. Although the trip itself was fun as shit, its not worth it IMHO if you're eating raw cactus. Boil it down to like a shot of ubergoo and say hello to Mescalito for me.

Well if by ''mescaline'' you are referring to 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine you have yourself what's known as a psychedelic alkaloid of the phenethylamine class. In lamens terms it's a recreational hallucinogen. It is a derivative of the peyote cactus if I'm not mistaken, but that doesn't really matter.

Average dose : I'd say 200 mg, start lightly as it can be rather "surprisingly intense".
You can take more and still be safe, I wouldn't go higher than 500 being a noob to the stuff.

I find with mescaline as opposed to LSD the intensity of what already IS there is amplified, unlike with LSD where colors and psychedelic images are often seen when there is nothing even there. That is in MY opinion and is not neccessarily a fact for everyone.

Just be safe bro! stay chilled out and if you start panicking just remind yourself you took a drug and everything will be cool. I tried San Pedro twice over the past three days. I tried 250 mg of San Pedro the second time. Mild effect with no visuals. How much do you need to take to get visuals?

In the grams. But I recommend taking it with an MAOI (and extreme fucking caution!!) which saves your dosing. The feeling is different from a regular mescaline trip, but if all you're going for is cool visuals at a cheap price then rue and mescaline is a good combo for you.
