i occasionally like to smoke spliffs cause i am able to hold it down easier when it has the tobacco in it. kinda hard to explain, but sometimes tree by itself is a little to ticklish on my throat, so i need something with a little more substance in it to help me hold it down without just coughing right away.

Actually there is very little evidence that what you're saying is true. It's a one sided opinion at best. Tobacco smoke is generally more "harsh" then marihuana smoke. The only thing about marihuana that will fuck your lungs up is the tar. Cigarettes have much worse toxic chemicals in them. But again, you're entitled to your opinion.;)

Fuck joints and spliffs. For me, Chronic Shisha is like the only way to go. About .5 g chronic, .3g smooth pipe tobacco, and fruit/molasses of your choice will get your stoner circle deliciously fucked up.

That's fucked up..I can't stand smoking spliffs..I like my pot by itself. The only time I add tobacco is when I'm smoking resin. Ive been smoking for 7 years now so all it really does is make my lungs ache even more than if I smoke pot by itself.

A $20/25 stick is anywhere from 1g up to a fistful of buds thrown at you... basically it's up to the dealer and how stingy they are.

I want to clear this up. I am an experienced stoner and not a retard. You mix marijuana and tobacco generally only when smoking a joint unless your a bitch, because the marijuana is far to crude to burn at a constant rate; however, the tobacco has been cured and designed to burn constantly and to burn better with rolling paper so it will produce a smoother smoke. Joints themselves are already wasteful because they are at full burn the entire time so allowing much of the non-rip burning time to be tobacco slows the burn and also helps the wallet.

Ok Here are the reasons why I prefer to smoke a spliff rather than pure joint

1) Coughing. Of course this is personal at best but I find tobacco smoke to be much more mellow when it comes to coughing. Yes it does taste harsher but it hardly ever makes me cough while a good hit of green makes me cough so hard I almost vomit. Once again, personal, maybe you guys are all fine with this but I find it a much more mellow hit.

2) Temperature. Tobacco burns at a lower temperature so less THC gets destroyed due to heat. In reality you are conserving your weed by burning spliffs. And of course it makes it burn more evenly and at a more constant rate resulting in smoother and more predictable hits.

3) Texture. No matter how good of a grinder or roller you are marijuana is not a very smooth substance to roll. because it is composed of buds rather than a homogenized leaf it is harder to roll an even joint or blunt with pure marijuana. If you prefer a nice and neat "cone" you are better off making it nicer by adding tobacco.

4) Weed quality. If you get some really nice shit and want to smoke a joint by yourself than you have to chose to either roll a skinny and barely passing joint or get completely blazed. If you want to do the latter then god bless you, but if you prefer to keep your level of "high" under control and one full joint of the stuff you have is too much you can measure out your dosage and roll a joint with exactly the right amount without worrying about the size.

Then again this is coming from a perspective of an ex-smoker. If you really hate tobacco and want nothing to do with it of course don't roll spliffs. But if you don't mind tobacco by itself you should see that there are some valid reasons people smoke spliffs. Oh and before I go, I know some people will bitch about #3 saying "you cant roll" etc. Well just do yourself a favor and try to roll a spliff once and you will see how much easier and smoother it is. No matter how good of a roller you are it would be childish not to admit it.
