Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
I have prostatitis (been over this in many threads, doctors can't help me, I have to live with it for now) and alcohol is like acid to my system, and makes me hurt alot worse for a long time.
So I'm not getting within 10 ft of the stuff. Now people always invite me out to drink at work, but I always turn down because I don't want to be the only sober person. Its not a matter of having a good time without alcohol, its because they are inviting me to bars for the strict reason of drinking. Most of the time when I'm high I just see how stupid people are when drunk, and it doesn't help with socializing.
Any ideas? Preferably that I can control well without getting nauseous and blacking out like too much alcohol.
I heard lots of benzos can do this, but that most of the time you forget what happened.

Re: Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
Benzos are pretty similar to alcohol. They don't feel exactly the same but they'll still chill you out and make you sociable. You need to take a good amount to black out anyway. Like you're not gonna black out if you only take 1-1.5 mg of xanax/ativan/klonopin (although you probably can depending on your weight and tolerance).
Also GHB supposedly feels really similar to alcohol, although I've never tried it myself.

I don't drink really, but I think valium is probably what you're looking for... Xanax (2mg) didn't really black me out when I did it, but it sedated me and I forgot the night the next day.. Wasn't very euphoric and chill like valium is imo.

well how much alcohol you going for? socially, like 4-6 beers?
try some low doses of benzos like 2 mgs xanax should be fun, but i always find i connect with people when were both on the same drug, you wont get that feeling if thats what your looking for, even tho they have similar effects.

benzos suck, and ether is not something you'd want to do in public unless you want people to think youre some braindead paint-huffing hippie.
GBL is pretty sweet if you can get it, or if you possess some lab skills you can very easily make an inebriant called chlorobutanol which is pretty sweet too

Re: Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
benzos suck
So does your mother but I don't complain
If your looking for an easily available drug that has the effects of alcohol, benzos are your best bet (Most notably Valium, xanax, ativan, klonopin). If taken in moderation you shouldnt have a problem with blackouts, its when you start taking large amounts and mixing it with alcohol do blackouts become a problem. And I highly doubt you have access or the chemistry knowledge to acquire/produce to GHB or GBL(both are much, much more toxic then benzos).
Benzos FTW

Benzos blow. Either you get too fucked up and black out, or feel tired. They fucking suck so much cock its not a replacement for alcohol. But that sucks you can't drink man, for a social type thing I don't know what you'd do. Just smoke bud and stuff like that.

Yeahh it does suck. Like I said when I'm high around drunkards it just makes me think they are dumbasses. Besides that sometimes management goes and if they get the hint that you are getting high they will drug test you. Most of the people are cool but some aren't.

I guess I'll try a higher dose of benzos then. I have 30 2mg Valiums prescribed to me, but I'm assuming that isn't enough to do shit.
Do you get the slurred speech and overall hard to walk feeling?

Re: Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
depends really, on xanax i can walk talk and do basic shit, with klonopin however its like almost killing off a bottle minus the throwing up. slurred speech stumbling all that stuff does happen on the klonopin though but with alcohol i feel very hot like i have a fever hot klonopin doesn't do that. but be careful i took them every day for 2 months last year i gave up placing it back together

Re: Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
If you're going to use any kind of benzo to mimic the effects of alcohol, diazepam (Valium) is your best bet in my opinion. It's always produced more of a "body buzz" for me than the other commercial benzos and isn't stupidly powerful to the point where one pill can mean the difference between chilling and blacking out (Xanax...).
To be honest with you, you'd probably find GHB/GBL more similar in overall effect but as was said, it's a lot more toxic than benzos and a hell of a lot more dangerous in the hands of someone who may not possess the finesse and know-how needed to dose the shit properly...and getting out of hand and deciding you need another three or four Valiums when you don't is not the same thing as deciding you need another 3 or 4 ml of GBL.

Personally I prefere Benzo's over alcahol anyway. It's kinda like a lucid drunkedness unless it's in really high doses. Don't go to high though, I probably have lost at least 24 houres of my memory to benzo's in the last year

if your gonnna devote them all to reacreational use, you can get really high, once.
or hardly high, twice.

i hope that was not a swing at me. GBL is not easy to get, but if you CAN quote-on-fucking-quote then it beats the shit out of any benzo or alcohol.

True, but it's not really hard, either; assuming someone is searching in the right places, of course.

It's very easy to get, it you know what to look for. I generally wouldn't recommend fucking around with GBL for most people on BLTC. I guess because well... when some have trouble enough getting their heads 'round the concept of a pipe... an industrial solvent which is dose responsive at like 0.2ml isn't great to be playing with.
People only buy GBL in the U.K cos it's legal, unlike GHB which is class C and harder to get (unfortunately, gbl is much more horrible stuff...), but actually they're making L illegal too, in future so who knows. GHB can be pretty fun, and it's definitely euphoric enough, and lowers inhibitions enough to be a replacement for alcohol. It's also horribly physically addictive, and quite dangerous if you don't know the dose, or mix with opiates/benzos/alcohol etc.
Have you tried K? Low doses (small bumps) make you quite active and up-for-it like alcohol, I find. Pretty fun, as long as you're careful. Higher doses of ketamine definitely aren't "social".

Though it is not really the same type of buzz as alcohol, I always found blowin a few lines of coke would always have me in for a good night. it would definitely make me more sociable. So go buy some coke and have a good time with your friends from work.

Re: Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
Eh, I'd probably say valium, but at the same time I really wouldn't over do it. Shit can get addictive pretty fast...
I don't drink myself, apart from maybe a beer or two when I'm out... but alot of my friends do. I usually just start the night off with a few bong rips and keep a joint or two on me to keep it going through the night, while eveyone else drinks. Works fine for me, odviously you wont be on the same level as eveyone else- but its still cool. Alcohol is overrated anyways...

Re: Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
Excuse me, Im not familiar with your condition; Why exactly are you unable to drink alcohol?
If its a gastro-intestinal problem then i would suggest looking into a nebulizer. Its a device that turns alcohol into vapor, which you then inhale. The effects are exactly the same as drinking alcohol except that it takes far less to get equally hammered.
For this reason nebulizers that are intended to be used for alcohol are illegal in some states. However, they are also used to deliver pulmonary medicine to people with certain lung problems, so they are still widely avialable. I got mine because my girlfriend at the time had an ongoing lung condition and had been given a new one every year or so.
You might look a little weird sucking on the thing all night, but in my experience the novelty of "smoking alcohol" is quite appealing to many people, which makes it a hit at parties.

Fuck benzos. I never understood all the pillheads who said it made them feel social. If you want a less extreme drunk kind of feeling that's really safe, try kava. It's not water soluble, but if you can find a way to brew it right, using a fair amount of it, you can get a good, mellow, 4-5 beers kind of buzz. It also doesn't completely killy your coordination.

Well if you want a drunk like feeling, def ghb is your best bet. Just buy some gbl, NaOH, and pH strips, and make you're ghb
If you don't wanna do that, I'm surprised nobody suggested opiates.
I know they are not very similar to alcohol, but they are sedating, will relax you, and let you have a good time.
Oxy or hydrocodone are good choices, not too strong, but will put you where you wanna be.
Also, see if tramadol does anything for you, it's hit or miss, but if you like it, it's easy to get, and will let you have a good time, feeling fine all the way

I love all the fucking idiots on this site who just try to bash benzos just because they dont have a good time on them cause you cant dose for shit. Like the people who take too much OC or methadone and end up puking the whole fucking night going 'Fuck opiates, they suck balls'. Most of your guys just took an extra bar or just drank that extra beer that just put you over the line once and now its all 'fuck benzos, you cant even walk straight blah blah' bullshit. Well no fucking shit; I bet that if half of you idiots took a proper dose of benzos you would enjoy them. There are alot worse things out there when it comes to drugs then blackouts. Man the fuck up
And lazer, kava doesnt even come close to the effects of most of the benzos, kava feels like a drank a few shitty beers and im just chillen. And trust me, when your completley benzo'd out of your skull you can be the most social motherfucker at the party. But as POC said, there is not a better drug class on the face of the earth for just not giving a fuck about anything or what anybody says to you. Ahh ;)
BTW- No, that was not aimed at you chemical Eudmonia, that was actually to the OP. For someone asking for an alternative to alcohol I highly doubt he knows how to procure and possibly make GBL, neverless GHB(unless he just finds a site).

QFT...I recently got to try Lexotanil (bromazepam) (and Rohypnol, but that's just me bragging :D) and it's my new favourite benzo. It gives you the increased sociability factor of benzos, without the 'if you pop one more, you're going to black out and forget the rest of the night' risk. The best way I can describe it is: a clear-headed drunkenness - you're a lot more sociable like with booze or benzos, but you're more in control of what you say/do. Plus its half-life is MUCH shorter than that of valium, so you won't have a groggy benzo hangover the next day. OP: look into getting some Lexotanil - for your purpose, I would definitely recommend it over valium or any other benzo.

Re: Anything give me similar effects to alcohol?
Ebagger, after thinking for a second i realized EXACTLY what you're looking for. DXM (cough syrup) Im really not joking. The effects produced at say 500-800mg is exactly what you want. Effects from that dose are so close to say 10 shots that you really cant feel a difference. The only differnce is instead of 10 shots you need to down 5 shots of cough syrup (easier to get down than hard liquor)
Also that dose is only going to run you like 7 bucks.
The only draw back is that dxm has a nasty habbit of FULLY dialting your pupils. Obvioulsy that's gonna give you away unless you're in a dark bar. But over the counter colored contacts would fix that completely.
Seriously at least look into it.

ah that's cool then. i doubt he does, too but i figured if he has the motivation to make this post he can spend the same amount of time on google to learn how easy it is to convert (i didn't mean synth GBL up). procuring it is probably harder than that
