so i've heard from some people that Mushrooms for some odd reason have the habit of producing a bad trip easier than it is to have a bad trip on acid. Is there any truth behind this or are the people i am talking to this about are just full of shit.

I ask this because I myself have taken mushrooms 30+ times and only tripped bad once. I have always been interested in LSD, but i am still on the fence thinking that it might be to intense for me to handle. People who have done it say that it more enjoyable for them then mushrooms, and that is more of a vivid experience, compared to the distortion of tripping on mushrooms. any input or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Although LSD has more potential to do more various things and is general more expansive mushrooms are more emotionally intense and are far easier to have horrible trips on. I do like both though with a slight preference towards mushrooms.

The likelihood of having a bad trip is the same, but they might come from different places. Of course, if you just don't worry about it in the first place, your chances of flipping out (in the right environment) are low.

You hallucinate a lot more off shrooms. I also seem to get wayyy more fucked off them.. They don't last as long as acid. But taste like shit....


With acid you feel full of energy.. The high seems to creep right up on you, you know you're fucked but everything seems more normal than it was before.. Making and or watching video's becomes exciting as hell, and you're able to focus completely on one thing until you think you have it figured out(my opinion of course)... You have amazing closed eye visuals, and hallucinate a little bit but not quite as intensly as with shrooms..

The verdict- Acid is good but mushrooms are better.. =-) flame on hippies.

The speedy effect that someone said acid had on them, is definitely something that i would dig.

I don't really think acid would be more intense that mushrooms, but I've only done shrooms so I don't know. I've tripped pretty hard off shrooms but now I wanna try acid. But I'm always afraid of getting ripped off and paying 20 bucks for 2 pieces of paper.

^Just because you "think" something dosnt make it true... shrooms are a lot more intense, try it.. Only thing is, acid makes you trip twice as long..

^^There is a cross tolerance between the two.. Depending on how much of each you took one would overtake the other..

if you have had 30+ mushroom trips you should be fine on acid...

it is a wonderful chemical, my favorite drug as far as effects go...

visuals have variations, the psychological effects are pretty different, acid is more of a speedy hallucinogen than shrooms... the trip last a bit longer. ive never had a bad acid trip...

ive done both, but only a couple times, and IMO acid seems like its easier to control yourself.

i once drove to the beach on cid, bad idea, but it turned out fine.

duration is the main difference. your a seasoned tripper with 30 something under your belt, and the jump to acid shouldn't be much more of a step rather than a leap...

I disagree.. I've eaten over a half oz of shams all in one sitting... acid seems lightweight after such a trip... I'd bet dollers to donuts an oz of shams would have you more fucked than 30 hits of acid...
