Roughly speaking..
How much energy does it take to do, say, a sit up?
If you need it, use me as an example;
I'm 5'6",
9.5 stone / 133 pounds.
I was wondering if it would be an easier way for me to lose weight, like wait an hour or 2 after eating and excercise said food away.

Re: Roughly speaking..
Depends on how many muscles you have in your abdominal area.

Physics my friend.
Weigh your everything above your abdominal. Measure how much distance you're traveling. Measure the time it takes. Calculate the work done. Calculate the energy required.

Re: Roughly speaking..
I googled it and couldn't find an answer for situps and calories burned that I believed was accurate for all body weights.
Like negz says, estimate the weight of your moving parts.
To make the math easy I'm going to say your moving body parts weigh 90 pounds (probably less) and your movement roughly equals 3 feet up and 3 feet down (it could be less).
I remember from an old time calculation that 150 pounds moving 6 feet up and 6 feet down = one calorie burned.
So if my math is right, for every 10 situps you will burn one calorie.
If you can do 40 situps a minute , you'll burn 4 Calories per minute and 40 Calories in 10 minutes.
Sit-ups are a terrible way to burn calories vs. leg exercises.
Use your legs (leg exercise) and easily burn 3X that much per minute.
It doesn't matter when you exercise.

Your a fucking idiot.
Massive Muscle amount is the best way to increase metabolism.
Your muscles need the nutrients you eat, and fast, so it keeps your metabolism going.
Would you like a source?
