Acne.
So I managed to get rid of all my pimples and blackheads by using facewashes and dieting and all that shit, but I'm still getting whiteheads (those little white fuckers that are about 1mm wide). Suggestions how to get rid of?

Re: Acne.
I really don't believe the dieting thing except for the fact that greasy foods get on your face.
But the biggest thing for me has always been to not touch my face. Just don't do it. It can be a hard habit to break too. Especially if you smoke weed, because your face and stubble feels so interesting.
And don't pop them.

Re: Acne.
I have mild acne. Maybe 1 or 2 zits every few days. I started using Proactiv, and it's the shit. Seriously worth the money. It not only clears up a mild case in 1-3 days, it makes your skin look so healthy and soft. I can SEE the difference in my skin right after I wash my face with it.
I used to think it was shit because I always saw it on infomercials, and I never trust infomercials. But it turned out to be legit.

Re: Acne.
Ugh, I wouldn't trust Pro-active. About half a month ago I switched make up brands and tried mineral makeup, anyway it made my skin super irritated and little bumps formed on my forehead so I paid $80 for pro active.
I haven't had a pimple since I was 15 but I was desperate. It made my skin INSANELY irritated and went kinda red. The main ingredient is Benzoyl peroxide which is in nearly all over-the-counter creams/washes. It's mainly used to kill bacteria so acne doesn't spread.
You might want to try an exfoliating scrub since white heads are a build up of sebum and dead skin. It'll probably help get rid of the impurities on your face before they have time to form white heads.

Don't touch your face. I'd say from 14-22 everything my fingers touched turned to acne (on my own body that is).
Wash your hair regularly, wash your face with soap in the shower (but don't scrub TOO hard, or it'll just make your body make more oil). You can pop an occasional pimple if you can burst it such that ALL of the pus is drained, and you do so with clean hands, and you disinfect the area immediately. The medical community advises against it because most people will fail to do all of those and just drive the infection further into the skin, but if it's done right, abscesses should be drained.
Don't touch, pop safely to get rid of the troublesome developed ones, and don't let your face get greasy. Theoretically this should work better than any over the counter product.
You'll probably still get the occasional zits popping up here and there, but at least it won't be like braille.

Re: Acne.
I would have to agree with the touching your face thing. When I think about it I tend to touch my face a lot without ever really thinking about it. I have had pretty bad acne for a long time, im 18 now. Every time I go to the doctor for it they just give me antibiotics in pill form, with some gel shit. They kinda work, but you have to take 2 a day, and they kinda make me feel different, like drowsy sometimes. The gel kinda helps, not really though. Iv triend most of the over the counter products, Clearasil and such, never found anything too spectacular..
Iv had doctors tell me that it doesn't matter how much you wash your face because its hormones in the brain that causes acne, and you need pills for it. Bullshit I thinks.
dunno..

Re: Acne.
Get some acne pills, it's the only way to go. I've been taking mine for a while, and have little to no visible acne.

Re: Acne.
Fuck acne pills. Yeah, you'll get less acne, but it gets WORSE before it gets better. Plus, it fucks up your hormones, dries the fuck out of your skin and lips, and makes your skin flip shit if exposed to UV rays (like the sun). Screw accutane and that gay shit. Benzoyl peroxide works well, as does salicylic acid. Exercise more. Eat better (there's no correlation between poor eating habits and acne, but it can't hurt).

I suggest going to your Doctor and trying other stuff first but the only thing that worked for me was accutane Benzoyl worked slightly but after a while just stopped working. The only side effect i got from accutane was dry lips which were real bad but then again it was worth 3 months of horribly chapped lips.
