I don't know about any one else, but these guys have really got it made. I mean they can do serious drama (no country for old men), and hilarious dark comedies (The Big Lebowski).

Hell yes.

I didn't start to realize how awesome they were till No country for Old Men.

No doubt about that...and their diversity...amazing.

It's just that they don't really make crap movies ya know? They continue to change it up and kkind of evolve their movie schema...

I can't stand the Cohen brothers. I've seen several of their movies and I thought they all sucked. And I tried to like them. NCFOM got critically acclaimed, TBL is a cult comedy classic, and Fargo is referenced tons in most 'top films' list. Usually I agree w/ the critics when they say a film is amazing but in every Cohen brother's film I find myself disagreeing with the critics.. This leads me to believe their films secretly suck and the people who love them are all faking it - not unlike the suckers that filled most of my classes back when I was an English major.

Do you have an actual criticism or do you just think they "suck"? I mean come on, an english major and that's the best you can come up with?

edit: It seems like everyone is forgetting Blood Simple, the coens first movie and first stab at a the darker/noir genre. It was a lot better than No Country.

I'd guess it'll be more like the other entries in the "Idiot Trilogy" (O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Intolerable Cruelty).
