Though, my ex used to pick up her moms script of morphine all the time, and one time she kept it, and her sister snitched, they hunted her down, and she spent like 6 months in county, and has hella long probation now.

I'm glad i didn't run into any pitfalls though...And as far as I know there isn't any evidence that I picked up the prescription...maybe video cameras...but no one is going to go looking for the script, so i'm pretty sure i'm clear.

Anyways, OP, I wouldn't count on being able to fill your ex's script. As time goes on it is getting more and more difficult to get narcs and now some people are even having trouble picking them up for relatives and/or people they are in relationships with (I know for a fact). Maybe you could call her and ask her to fill it?

I got it filled ok, they only wanted ID if i went through the drive through...and I don't really want to talk to her...and i screwed her best friend a few days ago, and i don't want to risk her knowing and then screwing me over on the script...but yea, good times.

how do they check the prescription? because where i live, the prescriptions now have a bar code. so do they scan that and check in a database the script's authenticity? or they just look at it and fill it?

If you're talking about a prescription written on a pad then it's pretty simple. No database or anything, just a piece of paper with a doctors signature...If it's something like 90 10 mg percs, they might call the doctor to verify, but mostly they just go from what it says. I have heard of special script pads though, that are hard to manufacture illegally.

If that said script shows that there are refills, then that goes into the pharmacies database...if it doesn't have a refill and you try to call it in, they will contact your doctor and check.
