Default suing someone at small claims court

I want to sue someone at small claims court for 7.500$ for pain and suffering, he came to my house and pepper sprayed me and beat me up with the metal case, he got charged and is on trial now, most likely guilty for this shit, i got 1400$ hospitall bill and they are still pilling up, i signed up for victims of a crime program and that will take care of that

what should I expect from the small claims court?

what kinda stuff would I need to do this?

What are some ways I will get the money out of him?

Once the judge rules, that he has to pay the 7500, he will HAVE to do it no matter what?

small claims court usually throws out any case that involves pain and suffering.
it's really hard to get any money that way
and people think you are lying

I don't know how this works but does assaulting someone really only leave you liable for their hospital bill?

first off, you just want a lot because of what he did to you. but yeah you should get all your bills back, but mention the money you lost from work and the furniture he broke and ruined. this will help you gain more, so you should at least come out with about 3 to 4 grand. but he better not have a good reason to beat the shit out of you.

This is what I had thought, though I saw no reason why it couldn't vary from state to state, and so said nothing.
