Re: Casings
No, smoke mix. And Papier macher doesn't exactly have a pressure rating*.

Re: Casings
Paper mache will work great for smoke mix. Personally I use cardboard tubes from used roman candles.

Re: Casings
depends on your mix and what you want to happen when it gets the reaction occurs etc.
pvc pipe is infamous in the world of backyard explosives as it stores decent amounts of pressure and it makes semi decent shrapnel.
smoke bomb casings can me made from anythign really. though i wouldnt go through the trouble of papier mache. a cardboard tube from toilet paper wrapped in duct tape would work

Re: Casings
personally, I think you should fuck off and go back to playing with model rocket engines. This isn't the right forum for this question, and if you DID ask in the right forum, you'd get ten replies of "STFU kewl" within an hour or so.

Re: Casings
Use cardbaord and some random glue stuff(forgot whats it's called). Or use the cardboard rolls from inside of tin foil rolls. You dont want something that with fragment, because if you do then you shouldnt be asking this question.

Re: Casings
If you're making a LE such as black powder or flash powder, then use carboard tubes, kraft paper rolled into tubes, bamboo, pipes, paper wrapped in lots of duct tape, ect. If using a HE, the casing dos'nt matter, just as long as it holds the stuff. If a LE, i'd go with kraft paper since it's free(from paper bags at grocery stores) and either glue the ends closed or glue a cap in there made from layers of kraft paper.
