It's yet another fucking detective show, but it stars Damian Lewis (the awesome motherfucker who played Major Rivers in the equally awesome miniseries Band of Brothers). The premise is not too bad, Lewis has been exonerated after serving 12 years for a triple homicide he didn't commit, and aside from different cases, the show follows his quest to find the real killer.

Where the show shines is the humour, and while it isn't too much of a comedy, the show is hilarious at times, and the one-liners help you forget it's another cop show. That and Lewis is a pretty charismatic guy.

I'm enjoying it so far, give it a shot if you're looking for something to watch.

This thread is now about the movie "Life" with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence.

I though it was an ok movie, a bit sad that they ended up in there for so long.

I'm surprised it didn't get as much attention as normal. I don't even know if this went through theaters. I saw it on TV just that one time.

It is. I just finished, the new season looks equally humourous.

I liked that they didn't drag the main plot too long, it was resolved, with a new conflict up in the air, should be good.

Yeah but they got out of there... It 'twas in theatres I remember going to see it as a child.
I would have to say its one of those movies I would have in my collection if I had the cash to have a movie collection.

I thought it had a great pilot, but it seems like they can't really figure out where to go with the Charlie Crews character, so they just make him more and more annoying. They're clearly going for a 'dr. house' irreverent type (in crews' case the zen stuff), but they also want him to be this bruce wayne playboy, so they end up not nailing down either and he loses his center.

Definitely one of the better procedural's on tv, I prefer it to the giants like CSI and Without a Trace, but if it was woman I'd definitely have to smack her in the mouth once or twice.

6.9/10

I like the show. Plot has great backstory re cops wrongful incarceration involving his now partner's retired cop father and the $8 million robbery in LA captured live on TV. The money is still missing. His partner, some arab chick, is totally smoking! She has issues she keeps trying to resolve through anoynomous sex. The chick who played Clamaity Jane in Deadwood, is the cops boss,
plus Alan Arkin is his bookeeper, excon buddy. Great cast!

persian, not arab. I don't know if she totally smoking. I need to see her more dressed up. She reminds me of sandra bullock in miss congeniality, before she got smoking hot.

And I'm a big fan of Donal Logue, he needs more screen time.

New season looks equally quirky.
