Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
I hope this is in the right area.
Basically im interested in knowing how to avoid drug dogs, drug police etc at music festivals.
For example if you were bringing a small number of pills in with you are there certain ways to hide them, cover the smell of them etc.
Any help would be useful.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
Well, depends how serious you can be. Honestly, would you consider / is it worth putting them inside your butt hole? You could find a good container, and fasten a string that hangs out with something to grab and gently pull out, like the string on a tea bag. But some people consider this completely disgusting, I wouldn't do it unless I was sneaking something really expensive, because I honestly don't like stuff up my ass.

clearly should have seen that response coming. sure stuffing them up my ass is an option, but some less disgusting forms of avoiding said issues would be good to.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
I have heard oranges do wonders, I one had a garlic bagel with some nice cheeses inside, hid it in there, it really masks the smell.
Also double/triple bag and each time rub the outside of the bag with rubbing alcohol then wile its still moist with the alcohol rinse for a good time.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
I've never been to a festival that had drug dogs, and I've been to over a dozen. More often than not the people at the entrance are event staff -- people who volunteer to work so they can go to the fest for free. They don't give a shit about drugs. The average search consists of them looking in your trunk for 5 seconds.
As far as cops go, they're not stupid. They know what goes on at these things. They're not so much worried about the small time consumer as much as they are the serious businessmen. As long as you don't toke up or buy anything right under their noses you'll be fine. They're not going to conduct 40,000 random searches.
Most festivals have camping. If you plan on buying or selling anything, just go in/near the persons tent. Like I said, they know whats going on, and obviously they're not going to be able to catch everyone.
I was tripping my nuts off once and for some reason decided to talk to a horseback cop about the nature of things that went on at the festivals. He says they know exactly what goes on, and more or less they're there for violence control. I asked him about drug busts and the like, and he said they actually bust a very small number of people.
When I asked him why, he asked me if I've ever been fishing. I said yes, and he said "Ever catch every fish in the lake?"
edit: don't be a retard. use your best judgment, if you have any.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
Cops aren't an issue. As a matter of fact, pay attention to what's going on around you, if it is any decent festy you will hear people walking around just muttering certain words like dimitri, lucy, doses, molly, stacy, liquid etc etc etc
Bring lots of money and you can find damn near anything you want.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
From experience, the only people I've seen just searched are those who are either breaking some other kind of law, or disrupting the event(s); e.g they are fighting, breaking property, etc.
I've had great experiences with cops/security at festivals, a security guard came up to me, I had a bong in my hands, about to toke up, and he came up and said "I don't care if you get high, but do you mind if you do it over in the toilet blocks? That's where everyone is doing it."

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
problem is though, australian festivals actually do have sniffer dogs etc which makes all this 'dont worry about it, as long as u dont break the law stuff irrelevant'. yes they are valid statements but ways to cover the smells of e's etc would be handy.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
I heard they had sniffer dogs at "splender in the grass". What a joke. The kids will see them, take all their drugs at once, and then have problems. Another example of our Genius government.
Oh we have drug busses outside the venue's too usually if you drive.
Depends on the festival though, i've never actually seen them.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
keep them on your person, the likelyhood of them investigating YOU with the help of a K9 unit are small. The chances that a drug dog can concentrate in the plethora of illict smells are slim as well.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
my friends were at mayham not to long ago here in ATL.
anyways, my one friend was telling me, how he was with group of his friends smoking inside lake wood, when the security guards came up to them, and asked them what they were doing. It was like pretty clear they were smoking, so the security guards asked them to hand it over. My friend was stoned, and knows that at lakewood the guards are pretty much relaxed/corrupt. My friend asked the two guards if they wanted to toke, because thats the way most of the security guards work around there, and or ask for money. The guards ended up taking 5 bucks from each of my three friends and let them go.
So. Long story short for the fuckers. Its easy to bribe cops or security guards at shows. half the time they will just take your pot or take a cash advance.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
when i go up to bonnaroo next year im more worried about getting pulled over by a k-9 unit... more or less that weekend will be spent as a sort of fear and loathing in bonnaroo...at least 10 hits of LSD, half ounce of mushrooms, 10 pills of ecstasy, upwards of an ounce of weed, more than a few oxy, some benzos, and some booze, along with anything interesting we might find there like mescaline or research chems... a 3 day drug binge for probably 3 people...

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
Darkus nailed it^ I like that quote too, it sums it up.
The big thing is alcohol, if alcohol gets in theres going to be some trouble.
If theres no alcohol then all the Firstaid people are going to be asked is "Whats the time?"
The other thing is Glass, like what Alcohol comes in, if theres Alcohol & Glass then theres going to be Broken Glass.
Broken glass means Cuts, Cuts mean Blood & stitches, means First Aid, means Problems & Trouble.
The other thing is normally the land is also used for farmers farms, that means any Glass is going to be eaten by animals, which means Sick Animals, which means the organisers won't get to use that land again.
So yeah, what they are looking for is Alcohol & Glass, don't try & get any in & you don't have to worry about it.
On the other hand, theres a bit of responsability, Don't put your drugs in a place where they are going to be found in 'the search', if they are found then they ARE going to be consifcated, thats what the search is for, in theory.
They DO have to go thru the motions if any drugs are found, just keep it under the radar.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
I went to a festival recently that had drug dogs. I myself didn't take anything in because I didn't think it was worth the risk. Easier just to walk out for 10 minutes. Plenty of friends did though...Wrapping the pills in an oven bag seemed to work, some dudes just held them in their mouth and wrapped them back up when they were in. I heard pepper in a saddy, then your drugs in another saddy in that saddy works.
Other than that it was mainly just luck. One guy I knew got busted though and each time I walked past the dogs I'd see somebody getting fucked up. Just don't put it in your shoe or something...Thats the first place the dogs sniff.

I don't think the could find anyone, even with a dog, cause like come on theres a shitload of druugs at music festivals. even if they do decide to search (which is stupid) what are the chances of them getting you out of thousand(s) of people?

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
Just wrap whatever it is in a few baggies, spray the whole thing with deoderant or aftershave, put it somewhere in the middle of your bag with your toiletries or whatever and forget about it. As long as it's not obvious to a quick once-over you'll be fine.
At a festival, sniffer dogs are uncommon. They take a long time to train, and they're expensive. Most of the dogs are there to detect nervousness. If you're halfway confident you'll get through without a problem. I've only ever been approached once by a cocker spaniel, with a gram of mandy and an eighth of weed in my bag, and I just started chatting to the officer about how I had a cocker and I didn't know you could use 'em as sniffer dogs. Got waved on with no problems.
And like Darkus said, they don't care if you take something in for personal use. As long as you don't insult their intelligence by carrying it in your pocket or something, they're only looking for people taking in large quantities to sell. Personal drug use is a given at festivals.

ok frank costello can we stop quoting the departed?
anyways.... when i have been to concerts or festivals I have never had trouble from the LAW. they are just there to keep the crowd from getting out of control. this is especially true when your going to concerts that involve high alcohol use. the last three concerts i went to this summer were more of a drinking scene then a drug scene and i saw about an average of 5 fights while i was tailgating outside of the concert. just don't do anything stupid and don't look suspicious and you should be a ok.

Can dogs even smell the MDMA and/or meth in pills? It's safer to assume they can, but I though dogs were mostly trained to find weed and cocaine and shit like that.

Re: Avoiding Drug Dogs/Drug Police at Music Festivals
I had the same problem this summer. No dogs, but people were checking in people's socks and popping hoods of cars. I put my stash in a glasses case and tucked that inside the plastic housing around the console of my friend's car.
Sounds like you're there for work, so I guess advice of taking a test kit and buying there isn't any useful.
I got nothing. Sorry.

you won't find anything cool at bonnaroo because... survey says... bonnaroo is GAY. I'd be more worried about the on site security jacking my stuff than getting arrested. and it's not like you have to drive through garret county, MD, if you get pulled over there you're fucked.

I know some dogs are trained to point out a certain chemical used in meth.
Not sure about MDMA, but I do know that a lot of dogs are trained to look for people who are acting nervous, just like Rainbows said.
