Default Is there a longhorn OS that is actually worthy?

Back in the days before Vista , I collected several longhorn versions.
But I never explored their validity.
Is there a Longhorn version that is worth getting it up and running?
And, I guess, its ability to run forever is a major factor for its usefullness.

And as soon as that happened, the OS turned shitty. I liked the old Longhorn better.

Are you fucking serious? Where did you come up with the logic for that one?

Oh, wait. Let me guess...

More blind "Vista is the worst thing EVAR!!!" ignorance.

Your type of people really need to learn a new tune.

ya, vista isnt as bad as people think it is.

Its just too flashy, but I've been using it for a year and a half, and its just like any other microsoft OS. Same shit, just more eye candy.

Thanx for the tip

I see from googling longhorn, build 4074 seems to have the most fans and reloaded is this 4074 build modified.

"Longhorn Reloaded contains features temporarily abandoned by Microsoft like WinFS, and features that eventually found their way into Vista like Aero. "

++++++

How well did your drivers hook up with Longhorn Reloaded?

so I got a hold of longhorn reloaded.

did find a handy install guide:
http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/inde...pic=13324&st=0

however I was hoping to put it on a spare 1GHz P3 machine and another longhorn guide says 2Ghz is minimum.
Plus it says ATI Radeon 9250 or higher GPU is needed.
MY P3 box has an ATI Radeon 9200 (92LE).
Maybe as an alternative, it will accept a fire-gl agp card I have.
oh well, will give it a go soon.
I guess I can put it on a separate HD on this dual core 3.7Ghz box if needed.
(I don't feel like making a partition).

It's not ignorance, he's not preaching anything, obviously, this is just discremination!

Sure there are people that just hate Vista because they like hopping on the bandwaggon, but there are a lot of reason not to use it.

Microsoft just changed everything, very little user options are left, for example, I have a debugging issue that requires me to tweek DirectX, which I can do seamlessly through dxdiag in Windows XP, try doing that in Vista, you can't edit any of the options anymore.

The "personalize" menu is also just stupid, but those are just a few reasons...

My main problem with it is the interface, I'd gladly use the XP shell if ran on Vista, but Microsoft has no interest in porting it.
