kicking the habit.
well, its been about a week since ive booted last after 3 weeks of being clean, and i got a really good job oppertunity coming up and rent thats already overdue and im trying my best to kick this SHIT. its also affecting my tattooing and art in general(shaky hands and whatnot)
if anyone has any suggestions on non-institutional help on how to make this more endurable it would be fabulous.
i know this is stupid blah blah im an idiot and this is just going to suck for a while...but taking subs and other shit just makes me fein even more.
so hey, its worth an ask right?

Re: kicking the habit.
What helped me the most was marijuana, when I kicked for a tolerance break it helped me eat, sleep and feel less shitty all around.
Benzos will help too. but for real its mostly a mental game..only once the physical effects breaks you down mentally does it really suck..keep your food in your stomach, your head up and smoke the herb. and you will be fine in a few days.

Re: kicking the habit.
Oh yeah, I forgot to add, fasting is probably the best way to kick any habit. If you can get over yr food addiction, everything else is like, "pssh, so what?"
Plus, if you relapse and yr fasting you'll get high as HELL

Re: kicking the habit.
want to be clean, thats the best way to actually get there. when you really want to be clean, you persist through...
you sound like you haven't made up your mind yet..

get benzos and weed. just eat a lot and keep hydrated and sleep. also you could try to get some suboxone.

Re: kicking the habit.
You need a true reason to get clean and sober, not true to anybody but yourself.
Once you can get past that in your mind, you're on the road to recovery.
Try making a list of all of the pro's and con's from your entire career of dope use.
If you can convince yourself that there are more pros then cons, you're a step closer to changing your mindset on your H addiction, your life, and your future.
Shit happens in life, and people get through it. Understand the many people that are going through shit 100x worse than you are at this very moment, but they aren't turning to dope.
A good place to see these people in person is AA meetings. They are free, and you don't have to do shit, just listen and absorb and maybe, by some small chance, if your mind is right and you have enough dedication - you'll leave with the enlightenment you've needed for years.
An AA meeting is just an example of one of the many things you could do.
It's all you.
