Re: giving a dog shrooms
im not even sure if dogs have 5-HT2A receptors so it might be a complete waste.
i dont think you should give it a large amount but hook him up with a small shroom and see how he likes it haha. i always wondered about this since dogs are colorblind so they wont get a lot of cool psychedelic effects.

I agree the receptors, although I would never try it to begin with. I've seen the video of the cat on acid, and while they may have given it way too much, it still has no clue what the fuck just happened. Your animal trusts you to give it food, so of course if it sees you eating it, it will accept it. Just don't do it. As for the colorblind, not sure if people knew this, but they do not see black and white, they are the colorblind where colors are mixed up and missing. Also there are studies where colorblind humans have taken psychedelics and they then had a change in color in their vision. While they might not have been the correct colors, they still saw more than usual. Bottom line, just don't due it, you don't know the effect it may have on the animal. What if it were to get violent to the point the only answer was to kill it? Wouldn't that be fun?

Re: giving a dog shrooms
Don't do it man that is so fucked up. If it actually does something the poor dog is going to be scared out of its mind. If you just have to get your pet high then just blow some smoke its way, but don't feed it shrooms.

Re: giving a dog shrooms
I've given dogs shrooms. Some dogs can't really trip on shrooms, it seems. Maybe they just have a super high shroom tolerance like some people. You should start the dog off with a low dose, unless you're a dickhead. A dog can really enjoy a shroom trip if it's done right. I never gave a dog a bad trip. Dip the shrooms in liquid fat or butter and the dogs will most likely gobble them up.
I don't think a dog needs a lot to trip because their senses are so sharp and it probably gets into their system faster. Plus they weigh less than us.
