Well, I was at the theater today in the restroom and I saw some guy changing batteries on his camcorder, I quickly notified the staff but then I just went to go watch my movie.

What technology does the theater staff use to catch people with camcorders without visually seeing them? I have heard about some stuff they use to scan for the cameras auto focus and it gives them away, I do not know if this is true.

most theatres dont chec; maybe for advanced screenings of highly anticipated films but thats it... even then its just with night vision binocs...
