Question Overcoming Panic attacks

I need help with my panic attacks.

Ever since my little trip to the hospital Ive had panic attacks every day for about 6 months. These suck really bad. I keep getting this feeling like I'm gonna have a heart attack or something else major like that. Ive had a electrocardiogram done and they say its all anxiety.

The word of a doctor helps but I cant get rid of the attacks. I'm so scared when I get this I almost start doing real stupid and almost ritualistic things. My mother said she also had these when she was pregnant with me and that she got rid of them with drugs and counseling.....both of those don't work for me.

So my question is to anyone who has overcome these is how did you mentally do it?

Mental health is just a game of numbers.

Reduce Drug Intake - Coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, painkillers.
Reduce Junk Food - You know what this is.
Reduce Stress - Work less hours, care less about others.
Increase Sleep - In bed before midnight, no exceptions.
Increase Nutrients - Fresh fruit, vegetables.
Increase Movement - Get your blood pumping, feel fit.

Now, drink lots of water and do breathing exercises. One thing I do when I feel like I'm having a heart attack is I blow air onto my thumb. It's a technique used by archers and for some evolutionary reason it reduces your heart rate. It also draws your attention away from your impending doom. Eventually you'll grow out of it...

This except the "care less about others"part, if anything care more, as you will feel more approved of and cared for in return, reducing your stress level.

i know what you mean, after i went to the hospital for downing a ton of adderal and actually thinking i was having a heart attack, i would get this "tightness" in my chest that would suck and it scared me, but i know i have a healthy heart so i just wait for it to go away. Wishing it away didn't work either, but i don't get it anymore. Try doing what the other guy said, work out more, eat better and get more sleep and nutrients.

just remember its all in your head.

Care less about what others think, care for those you love.

Actually, it does. I too suggest Valium. It helped me immensely.

really? i dk, from what i see with some kids and i kinda think people are who they are and drugs shouldn't be used to "fix" someone. Maybe i share my parent's view's, drugging people doesn't seem right, i have an idea that people, if they try hard enough can fix themselves, this is considering i've done this myself on some scale.

though the funny thing about life is that i will never know what living is like for you guy's, ha.

and adderal doesn't make you ignorant, it makes me honest, maybe a little too much.
