I doubt you'd be able to get a pound of shake for $50, maybe an ounce of it. Shake isn't THAT cheap. Theres a large scale indoor going on down the road, and as the buds are being dried, the grower 'sifts' it through a screen and all the dry shake falls into a bin. He sells this shake for $50 an ounce. A pound of shake would need an insane amount of dope to achieve.

I get ounces of shake for 30. You can't smoke it out of bongs or anything but you can roll up fat. It's nice to pick up a bag of buds too. Shake is harsh but it smokes and will get you high. Very economical way of smoking.

This was a couple years ago, but I use to get a couple ounces of shake for 5 bucks. Though, the dealer was a friend of mine who's dad grew, her dad just gave garbage bags of the leaf to her. But, I remember being able to empty the bags over a glass table and pick out numerous, tiny bud fragments from within the leaf. Usually I would get about 20 bucks worth of bud out of each couple ounces.

If you do actually get a pound, or even close to it, of plant material that even has a trace of trichromes, there are a few things you can do with it. Even if you only get an ounce.

I'll be honest. When it comes to smoking herb, the word "shake" is the farthest thing from my mind. Enough so, that I don't even consider it's existence. That's just me.. But upon finding this thread, and grateful at that, my mind has been opened to obvious possibilities that until this point in time, exceeded me.

I actually plan on checking around tomorrow to see what I can find. Hell, I remember sometime last summer one of my friends traded a bottle of hydrocodone for practically a garbage bag of shake that some of my other friends got for me. Imagine what I could do with all of that. Adding that little extra weight to every bag to either skim off the top to push profit, or to lead loyal consumers into believing they are getting a better deal. Though there is some moral dispute to take into consideration, nonetheless.. Then there is shake blunts.. lol.. brownies.. and hash.. I'm going to look into this but if anyone else has some good ideas, keep em posted.

Get some bubble bags and make hash.

Yes, agitate it in ice water for a half hour and then use bubble bags/5 gallon buckets to strain it out. It makes excellent hash, and the quantity will probably surprise you. The ice water makes the THC crystals fall right off the leaf and the bags strain them out, rendering a very pure product. The final product looks like a greenish grey to black silly putty. You can then mold it as you desire, wrap it in saran, and slow dry it on a very low heat.

You may be able to DIY the bags out of different micron meshes but I'm not the gal to ask about that. Just Google "bubble hash".

You can also make honey hash out of it with butane and PVC but I'm not a big fan- it's a pain in the ass to scrape it all off into usable product, and I don't enjoy working with volatiles personally.
